Queen of Hearts (Villainous) – Ravensburger – 1000 pieces
This beauty of a puzzle was sorted yesterday, and I did start on the border; unfortunately I wasn’t feeling well and spent the rest of the day in bed. Luckily (or unluckily) I don’t sleep much, so I was up and at it early this morning and got the border finished.
The border wasn’t quick or easy and I admit to hating it just a little bit. There were a few spots where the colors changed some and the lines get brighter or duller, but mostly it was more tedious than your average border.
My slight OCD dictates that unless the border is next to impossible I always start there. There have been a few puzzles where starting there would have caused more frustration than I was willing to endure, but for the most part it’s where I need to begin. Thank goodness these are Ravensburger puzzles, if they were made by a company with lesser quality the border might have been even worse. Oh well, it’s done.
Here’s hoping the rest of the assembly is more entertaining than the beginning was!
That border looks awful. LOL

It wasn’t fun. I could always number it for you before I send it back. LOL

I always like it when I get most of the border done before I start a puzzle. Then all you have to do is fill it in.It just makes the puzzle more enjoyable to me.
Looking forward to the completed puzzle.
Hope you are much better.

I agree, it’s a solid base to start building on, and I always feel better knowing that I know where the puzzle fits on my board. Once I know where it is I can put small completed sections approximately where they go.
And I’m feeling much better, thanks.

I often do borders last. They are almost always tedious, and so much easier when the rest of the puzzle is done.

The way I assemble the border makes it so that it isn’t very tedious unless it’s a difficult one like this was. But I would definitely recommend doing the border on these puzzles last – it was a b*tch!
