A Christmas Story Leg Lamp – USAopoly – 500 pieces

So much fun! USAopoly has some excellent pop culture jigsaws to choose from. I’m glad I got this one from Puzzle Warehouse before it’s gone – it’s been discontinued.

Take Flight – Discovery Bay Games (Smithsonian History of Flight Collection) – 1000 pieces

Excellent quality puzzle – another thrift store find. Nice, thick pieces that fit together very well – and a collage! I love a collage! There are several nice Smithsonian history puzzles I’d love to find at the thrift stores, this one was very nice. 🙂

Roadside Attractions by Gil Elvgren – Cobble Hill – 1000 pieces

Gorgeous puzzle I bought to assemble and frame for my hubby who loves pinup girls. 😎 Cobble Hill quality is really very good, excellent puzzle!

We’re Cruisin’ – Ceaco – 125 pieces

Vintage puzzle almost 30 years old – and apparently Ceaco used to make wonderful quality kid’s puzzles! Super thick pieces that fit together quite well. Impressive!

IMG_3525
The World Landmark Buildings by Gregory L. Blackstock – Pomegranate – 500 pieces

Excellent quality puzzle with an extremely fun to assemble image. Love, love, love this artist!

IMG_3530
Lindbergh’s Flight – Parker Brothers – 500 pieces

Interesting puzzle from 1967! Unfortunately 5 pieces have wandered off, but that’s only 1 a decade. 😉 I do love having words to assemble – be careful what you wish for, for you will surely get it!

IMG_3533
Apple Calendar by Jacek Yerka – Ceaco (New Perspectives) – 550 pieces

Fun puzzle, quick assembly with 2 people working on it. Very thin pieces, but for 69 cents you can’t beat the price – and this one hadn’t even been opened yet!

IMG_3538
Pirate’s Landing by Ulrike Schneiders – Ceaco – 300 pieces

The last of 3 puzzles mom and I finished in one day! Ceaco, quality was fair – cute picture though. 🙂

IMG_3543
Star Wars – Ravensburger (Silhouette) – 1098 pieces

Wow. Just……..wow. This monster was quite a challenge for me, but in the end I won. Take that, Darth Vader! You can’t really tell from the picture but he is 42 inches high. 😮

Lion King (Disney Dreams Collection) by Thomas Kinkade – Ceaco -500 pieces

Helped my niece finish this puzzle she’d started several years ago. Oh my! It was a little challenging, but we were both happy it finally got assembled. 🙂

Disney Pixar Movies – Ravensburger – 1000 pieces

This one was assembled by my sister-in-law, 2 nieces, a nephew (in-law) and myself! We all enjoyed it very much, I highly recommend it!

Alice in Wonderland – Potter Style – 500 pieces

Took me almost a week to finish this, because I was out of town for 5 days. A fun assembly, but the pieces were difficult to work with.

Willow Whispers by Alan Giana – MasterPieces – 300 pieces (EZ Grip)

Quick, fun puzzle that was lovely to assemble. I’m really impressed with MasterPieces quality lately! Excellent puzzle.

What’s For Breakfast – White Mountain (Family Time Puzzle) – 400 pieces

My first Family Time puzzle from White Mountain, I loved it! Would be great for a family, but also fun just by myself. Collage, my favorite!!

IMG_3619
The Old Country Store by Art Poulin – MasterPieces (Town & Country) – 300 pieces

Fun, old-timey feeling puzzle. It’s hard to imagine a store where you could get all those things – including a marriage license??

IMG_3620
I Remember Those! by Charlie Girard – White Mountain – 300 EZ Hold pieces

I do remember most of those! Spirograph was so much fun, silly putty was a little boring for my taste, and Lite Brite was the best! Great puzzle that takes me back. 🙂

Best Places in the World by Lewis T. Johnson – White Mountain – 1000 pieces

I’m in collage heaven with all of these White Mountain puzzles! Loved this one, big surprise, right?

IMG_3630
Country Kitchen by Janet Kruskamp – White Mountain – 1000 pieces

Feeling nostalgic looking at this puzzle, it reminds me so much of my youth! Really fun assembly, a little challenging but lots of fun.

IMG_3632
Butterflies – Ceaco (3D Magnatile Puzzle) – 16 pieces

This one took less than 5 minutes. It’s a good idea though, especially for traveling. It would be cool to have a 100 or 200 piece magnetic puzzle, you’d have to work really hard to lose pieces!

IMG_3638
Remember When by Charlie Girard – White Mountain – 1000 pieces

This puzzle was excellent! So much fun for me to assemble, collages make me so happy! Hippies had to use the back door? 😮

IMG_3646
Great Americans by James Mellett – White Mountain – 1000 pieces

This was an interesting collage to assemble, I think I prefer the ones that aren’t hand drawn though. I wasn’t able to identify everyone, but I think I got most!

IMG_3654
Black Cat by Steinlen – Eurographics – 1000 pieces

Yikes! This one was a chore – puzzles are supposed to be fun! Hopefully mom has learned her lesson and she will think twice before buying a puzzle with so much blank color.

IMG_3655
Sugar Skull Cookies – Cobble Hill – 1000 pieces

I love sugar skulls! This puzzle was a bit challenging, but in a fun way. Had a great time with it. 🙂

IMG_3656
Dinosaurs – International Playthings – 50 pieces

This one was a bit of a bummer! My tiny puzzle-loving “grandson” really enjoys puzzles with dinosaurs and I was hoping to give him this one. It was very nice quality too. 😦

IMG_3658
Safety First – Perfect Picture Puzzle – 375+ pieces

This gorgeous puzzle is over 70 years old – there’s an ad on the box selling war bonds! It isn’t as easy as it looks, but I enjoyed every moment. The feel of the pieces and they way they fit together was so different – how I wish all the pieces were there. 😦

IMG_3660
Dad’s Shed by Michael Herring – Ravensburger – 500 pieces

I really enjoy the large piece format Ravensburger puzzles, they’re unbelievable well made! This picture had a lot of brown. 😐 Not really my cup of tea, but still it wasn’t bad to assemble.

IMG_3661
Gormiti – Ravensburger – 200 pieces

Another excellent quality kid’s puzzle with a piece missing. 😦

IMG_3662
Vintage Travel Guides by Aimee Stewart – Ravensburger – 500 pieces

This puzzle was great fun! Aimee Stewart and Ravensburger together make me a happy happy puzzle lady!

IMG_3663
Horrible Histories Cracking Castle by Martin Brown – Galt – 300 pieces

Very large pieces, extremely shiny! This puzzle goes along with the Horrible Histories books that teach history in a fun way. The puzzle isn’t too difficult, and except for the shininess they are excellent quality.

IMG_3666
Cat’s Got Mail by Bryan Moon – Ravensburger – 300 pieces

Nice puzzle, with enough challenge that it didn’t go together super quickly. Cat puzzles usually aren’t my thing, but I liked this one. 🙂

Interesting thrift store puzzle find. Six double sided 100 piece puzzles to glue and use with a white board calendar. A different image for every month! This is the first one I assembled.

Calendar puzzle #2. The pieces are thicker than the average Mega Puzzles. The images aren’t bad either. It’s nice to put together an entire puzzle in the time it takes to have a cup of coffee!

Policeman Dreams by Dan Hatala – MasterPieces – 1000 pieces

My last 1000 piece for August. Thrift store puzzle from the Childhood Dreams series. I love this image and it made for a nice assembly. For some reason I started with the sky and ground – I don’t usually do the most challenging stuff first!
