Box of Buttons by Lori Jensen – Colorcraft Puzzles – 1000 pieces
This puzzle was so much fun, I love blocks of color! Each section is about 84 pieces; it isn’t as easy as it looks – but it is absolutely as much fun as it looks.
Colorcraft is new brand to me and I was quite impressed with the quality; excellent fit, variety of shapes, beautiful reproduction, a very nice hand feel, and minimal puzzle dust. Their catalog is full of bright, colorful, interesting images to choose from (and the occasional landscape or kitty as well). The box was just big enough to contain the 1000 pieces, which is nice when your available space to store puzzles is small. They only make 500 and 1000 piece puzzles as far as I can tell, but if you’re interested you should definitely check them out.
Overall I really liked this brand and am planning on trying more of their puzzles as soon as I let myself do some shopping. Of course with their catalog of bright, fun images it could be dangerous to let me loose on their website with a debit card. 💲🛒💲
Oooh, that does look like a fun but bit challenging puzzle. It’s nice to be able to pull out all of one color and assemble one button box at a time.
Colorcraft is new-to-me too. I’m browsing on their site now. It’s dangerous to know that they seemingly do free shipping in the USA regardless of the amount of money you spend. But I recently bought a few puzzles (more than a few!) so my wallet probably needs to rest. 😴

Now Beth, I don’t want to be an enabler…..but free shipping is awesome! LOL Once your wallet recovers maybe you should give them a try. 😉

LOL. You’re preaching to the choir. Free shipping for puzzles is awesome. And Colorcraft does have a great image catalog but nothing really made me go OMG at this time — the puzzles I recently acquired did do that when I saw them online.
I do like Colorcraft’s Beautiful Breakfast puzzle, it reminds me of a breakfast themed puzzle by Buffalo that I stumbled upon online. It was from a puzzle collection I had never heard of and don’t even know if Buffalo still makes anymore, or when they even made them. I think it was called the gold collection, the box was designed differently so the bottom of the box with the pieces slid out like a drawer using a ribbon. So a bit more fancy presentation I suppose. (I also like Colorcraft’s Old School puzzle too.) Have you heard of Buffalo’s gold collection?

I’m not sure I’ve ever heard of the Gold Collection. Sounds interesting.

I could almost like a button box if it was so colorful! When I was growing up and making my own clothes, we had to look through The button box to see if we could find suitable buttons before buying any. I hated having to look through a big box that never seemed to have enough or likeable buttons and then having to make a 2nd trip to the fabric store to buy the buttons you wanted to begin with. Now, it’s too expensive to make your own clothes except for something very special.

The buttons in moms and gramas button jars weren’t nearly as colorful as these are. Not even close!

I hope Colorcraft makes its way to Europe at some point! Nice images, and I absolutely love a box that is no bigger than it has to be.

Even if they don’t make their way to Europe, I could help them along.
