I started this puzzle on my white board so that I could work on it in bed; that’s why there’s no pretty plum colored fabric behind it. I didn’t get very far with it yesterday before I had to put it down, but at least I made a start!
It’s been a bit since I’ve done a Wysocki, so I’m looking forward to this image. Sometimes they all seem very similar and it becomes a little boring for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love Americana images, but if I do too many of them in a row or too close together it isn’t as rewarding or entertaining.
I hope you’ll be working on a fun puzzle today, I certainly will be! 💖🧩
I too love these old-fashioned scenes of America but you’re right – they do tend to look alike. Jane Wooster Scott also creates similar images – love her work too. Sometimes I think it would be nice to go back to those times…

I love Jane Wooster Scott as well; her images are similar to Wysocki, but I think the difference is the way each of them paint people – in my opinion.

That happens to me, too, I still like old maps, but I definitely OD’d on them at one point.

I’m there with you. I LOVE old maps, even bought a 6000 piece Schmidt with a gorgeous map at the thrift store (unopened – for $1.99!), but wore myself out on smaller ones and haven’t been able to motivate myself to work on that one.

A 6000 piece Schmidt for $1.99! Perhaps I should be grateful that I never see deals like that, otherwise my flat would soon be so full of puzzles that I’d have to start sleeping in my car 🙂

It’s easy to get carried away, that’s for sure!
