Pink flowers complete! I even got the five petals falling from the tree. It’s starting to come together, and I’m getting sad that it’s almost over. 😦

The flowers went quickly today, there weren’t many pieces left to choose from. Once the flowers on the left side were finished it took barely any time at all to fill in the small row of flowers on the right. It’s moving along fast! Good thing too, because I wasn’t able to work on it very long today before I had to go rest in bed. That’s alright, I was able to catch up on my Netflix watching.

I think I’ll leave the board upside down and fill in all the yellow background under and around the flowers and trees. It shouldn’t be too time consuming, there aren’t really very many pieces of that color. After that I’ll most likely start working on the darker area of trees above Flower’s head, then I should be ready to flip the board back over start working on the bottom half of the section.

I’m trying to pace myself so that I’m not rushing to get this last section finished, but it’s been so much fun to assemble that’s it’s going faster than I’d planned. Oh dear. Oh deer. 😉

Butterfly

Butterfly – Remarks – 250 pieces

Only 250 pieces, just enough for a fun hour or so – perfect! This was another thrift store puzzle we thought we might give my honorary grandson, but after seeing the pieces I think they may be too small for him just yet. He has excellent fine motor skills for an almost 4 year old, but I think this puzzle might be more frustrating than anything else, so I’ll hold off on giving it to him for now.

Excellent puzzle from Remarks, pieces fit together really well and we had a great time putting it together. The image quality was amazing and the colors were really sharp and beautiful. Awesome quality from Remarks, the best I’ve had so far.

We should try to find more 250 piece puzzles, this was fun!!

Today was slower than I’d hoped, but I did make progress so I refuse to complain. Much.

Mom came over this evening and helped a little so that she has officially helped me on all 10 sections of this puzzle.  Thanks mom! You’re the only one, no one else has helped with all of them – or even close to all of them. Hubby helped with the first two or three I think, but kinda checked out after that and left me on my own.

Got a lot of the pink flowers done today, and I have to say they look way prettier in person than they do in the pictures. I’m hopeful that I’ll have the flowers finished tomorrow and will be able to show everyone how gorgeous they are. I have no plans on what to tackle next, I’ll just see where my wandering mind takes me. 😉

I was editing some of the categories and tags of the older posts the last few days and noticed I wrote quite a bit more every day than I do now. I’m not sure if I was blathering on too long back then or if I’m not talking enough now. Is there a perfect length for a blog posting? I’m not sure if less is more, or if more is just right.  (I really had to think about that last sentence to make sure it didn’t sound like I was having an “episode”)

In the end though, perhaps however long I wish to “talk” is how long the post should be, right? Since it’s my blog, however long the post is that day is the absolute PERFECT length for me. 😎

Sugar Plum Fairies

Sugar Plum Fairies  by Bill Bell- Ceaco (Glitter & Glow) – 100 pieces

Yup another 100 piece puzzle! If I do them I might as well put them on the blog – puzzles are puzzles no matter the size!

This puzzle would be difficult for a young child I believe, because a couple of more “mature” ladies were laughing while trying to assemble this because we found it a bit taxing!!! Not kidding. 😮

Typical Ceaco puzzle, nothing new in the quality category. Image reproduction and piece shapes are good, but the pieces are a bit thin and the puzzle doesn’t always lie flat when completed.

I know this is a bit feminine for a boy, but why not give him a chance to assemble it? He may find the increased difficulty a fun challenge, you never know,  right?

The rest of Bambi went so quickly I was shocked! 😮

Turns out there wasn’t as much left as I thought, and his little legs are only two or three pieces wide – they went so fast! And I even got Bambi connected to the flowers next Thumper. This section has been so much fun!

Pink flowers are up next I think. I turned the board upside down to work on Bambi’s head and it seems easy enough to just leave it there and work on the flowers at the top. For some reason, when I look at the poster for this section my eyes are always drawn to the pink flowers. I’m sure they’re going to be just as striking and gorgeous as they are in the picture!

I’m officially over the halfway point – today’s piece count brings the total to over 2100 pieces assembled. How in the world is this going so fast?
