My New Puzzles

Most Everyone is Mad/Lions & Tigers & Bears Oh My by Dean MacAdam – Ravensburger – 1000 pcs. each

The addictive Ravensburger puzzle dust took hold in my system and two more of their puzzles have found their way onto my shelves. I couldn’t help myself.

I didn’t want to.

After assembling Hansel & Gretel and enjoying it so much, I knew I’d have a great time with the other images by Dean MacAdam. They’ve both been adopted and brought here to a loving home. ❤

Hansel and Gretel Beware!

Hansel and Gretel Beware! by Dean MacAdam – Ravensburger – 1000 pieces

This gorgeous image by Dean MacAdam was even more fun than I thought it would be – and I thought it would be GREAT fun! There are two other images by this artist that Ravensburger has out right now, and I think the money in my wallet is straining to get out and buy them for me. 😇

Of course it was great quality, and every time I assemble a Ravensburger it makes me want to do even more of their puzzles. Perhaps there’s some sort of addictive additive in the puzzle dust? Or it could be that it’s just the fantastic puzzles that make me want more. You can see in the above image that the fit is excellent and the piece shapes don’t overpower the look of the completed puzzle. Excellent quality all around.

Creepy bunny here really stood out to me from the first moment I saw the artwork. Love it!

The artwork by Dean MacAdam is absolutely fantastic. It looks too dark around the sides when you’re sorting it, but as you get familiar with the puzzle you begin to see that they’re not just dark and you can tell approximately where the pieces should go. It was definitely my kind of image, and so much fun to get to know this puzzle and reassemble it.

Like the look of this one? It was so entertaining, I adored it! 💖

Barbie Paris Fashion

Barbie Paris Fashion – Ravensburger – 500 pieces

There was something extremely satisfying about this assembly; I’m not sure I could express to you why that was – but it was great fun and I absolutely loved it. 🧡

Excellent quality; slightly loose fitting but otherwise a great puzzle. The piece shapes are quite obvious in the finished image but I really don’t care – it was the process of the assembly that mattered.

I’ve never been a huge fan of Barbie dolls, but it may interest you to know that I am named after one of Barbie’s friends. Back in 1968 she got a cool new “mod” friend named Stacey, and my father liked the name so much that he convinced my mother to give me that name when I was born. The rest, as they say, is history. 😎

This was the first section that I put together, the fabric of the clothing was easy to pick out, and it’s also the only image with blue sky.

That long neck is crazy – it may be what fashion models wish they looked like, but I’m not sure it would look good on an actual person.

The wallpaper in the background is even Parisian – Eiffel Towers everywhere!

What I’m working on…

Typefaces by Hugo Maciel – Ravensburger – 500 pieces

This very interesting and challenging image just grabbed me when I first saw it, and it’s going together really well. The artwork is very different – it almost looks as though it was done with a crayon! Still, I love a challenge, and a puzzle that is outside of the norm as well. It oughta be fun. 😉

Went a Little Crazy…

I bought a BUNCH of puzzles this past week – which is not something I usually do. Do you ever feel like even though you have plenty of puzzles to assemble that none of them are ones you really want to assemble? I understand that’s absolutely not an actual problem or what is called a “first world problem”. I’m just dealing with a lot right now and not handling it well, and when I was trying to decide on what puzzle was next I was not in a good place.

Add quite a severe case of P.A.D.S. into the mix and you’ve got a recipe for crazed online puzzle shopping late at night – and also a trip to a brick and mortar store earlier in the week. You can see from the picture above that the P.A.D.S. was in control of me and I went a little puzzle crazy. (Surprisingly there is no remorse whatsoever)

I only bought Ravensburger and Buffalo puzzles; I wanted good quality that I wouldn’t have to worry about. Also, I wanted to get some Aimee Stewart puzzles, some that I hadn’t seen before. All the puzzles shown above were online purchases, I forgot to add the brick and mortar buys to the picture – sorry.

From Buffalo I got seven Aimee Stewarts (only four shown here), a Charles Wysocki with quilts, a Ciro Marchetti, a couple of the Country Life series (both with quilts), and one of the Vivid Collection.

From Ravensburger I got a couple of interesting 500 piece puzzles, a Hansel and Gretel puzzle that is too cute for words, and one of their Abandoned series called The Deserted Department Store.

Sixteen puzzles later there are even more puzzles at my house to choose from; I haven’t decided which one is next, but I’m happier with my choices at the moment (and in a slightly better headspace). 🧩❤
