It’s unimpressive, but whatever. I can only do what I can do, stop pressuring me! 😉

Both of the tree trunks are assembled, and I was able to attach one of the falling petals near one of them; then I started filling in between the trees. It’s slowly coming together and looking good!

For the most part, from here on out it will be filling in.Tomorrow will be filling in the rest of the dark pieces and probably finishing Flower, his tail isn’t completely filled out. Once most of the top half is done I’ll turn the board back over and start on the bottom half. Lots of white flowers to do!

I realized yesterday while working on a smaller puzzle in bed that I was in danger of losing one of the pieces to this giant Disney puzzle! I went and grabbed one of the trays so that I could sort edges pieces; and when I dumped the edge pieces onto my smaller puzzle board and started assembling the edge there was a piece that definitely didn’t belong. I’m working on a Wasgij puzzle from Jumbo, and they have a distinctive feel to them – it wasn’t a Jumbo piece. It was definitely a Ravensburger and it had a mottled brown color (it goes between the tree trunks, I’ve already placed it) – and I thought “Holy crap, I almost lost this thing!”

It was most likely underneath the liner I have on the trays, and if I had been careless in how I carried the tray from the puzzle room to my bedroom I could have dropped it. I would never have looked anywhere except where I’m working on the puzzle!  There’s no way I would have searched in the hall, living room or bedroom. I came really close to losing that piece! Thank goodness I didn’t, I would have been SO upset with myself. 😮

It doesn’t look like much progress, but I’m pleased with what I got done today. I finally found the last piece of the filmstrip (yay!), filled in the pale yellow, assembled the rock next to Flower and attached it to Bambi, assembled most of the butterfly, and found all the pieces I was missing at the top of the puzzle. Sweet!

I have all the remaining pieces on trays now, as of today’s count there are 1300 pieces left. 😮 Wow. It’s moving along so quickly!

Tomorrow’s work will be the trees and darker background above Flower. I’ve got the pieces all separated by shape and ready to start. It will go quickly I’m sure because the left side of the puzzle is filled in and I can see which piece shape I need on the right, that’s especially helpful with the dark pieces.

Stay tuned guys, it won’t be long now!

Pink flowers complete! I even got the five petals falling from the tree. It’s starting to come together, and I’m getting sad that it’s almost over. 😦

The flowers went quickly today, there weren’t many pieces left to choose from. Once the flowers on the left side were finished it took barely any time at all to fill in the small row of flowers on the right. It’s moving along fast! Good thing too, because I wasn’t able to work on it very long today before I had to go rest in bed. That’s alright, I was able to catch up on my Netflix watching.

I think I’ll leave the board upside down and fill in all the yellow background under and around the flowers and trees. It shouldn’t be too time consuming, there aren’t really very many pieces of that color. After that I’ll most likely start working on the darker area of trees above Flower’s head, then I should be ready to flip the board back over start working on the bottom half of the section.

I’m trying to pace myself so that I’m not rushing to get this last section finished, but it’s been so much fun to assemble that’s it’s going faster than I’d planned. Oh dear. Oh deer. 😉

Today was slower than I’d hoped, but I did make progress so I refuse to complain. Much.

Mom came over this evening and helped a little so that she has officially helped me on all 10 sections of this puzzle.  Thanks mom! You’re the only one, no one else has helped with all of them – or even close to all of them. Hubby helped with the first two or three I think, but kinda checked out after that and left me on my own.

Got a lot of the pink flowers done today, and I have to say they look way prettier in person than they do in the pictures. I’m hopeful that I’ll have the flowers finished tomorrow and will be able to show everyone how gorgeous they are. I have no plans on what to tackle next, I’ll just see where my wandering mind takes me. 😉

I was editing some of the categories and tags of the older posts the last few days and noticed I wrote quite a bit more every day than I do now. I’m not sure if I was blathering on too long back then or if I’m not talking enough now. Is there a perfect length for a blog posting? I’m not sure if less is more, or if more is just right.  (I really had to think about that last sentence to make sure it didn’t sound like I was having an “episode”)

In the end though, perhaps however long I wish to “talk” is how long the post should be, right? Since it’s my blog, however long the post is that day is the absolute PERFECT length for me. 😎

The rest of Bambi went so quickly I was shocked! 😮

Turns out there wasn’t as much left as I thought, and his little legs are only two or three pieces wide – they went so fast! And I even got Bambi connected to the flowers next Thumper. This section has been so much fun!

Pink flowers are up next I think. I turned the board upside down to work on Bambi’s head and it seems easy enough to just leave it there and work on the flowers at the top. For some reason, when I look at the poster for this section my eyes are always drawn to the pink flowers. I’m sure they’re going to be just as striking and gorgeous as they are in the picture!

I’m officially over the halfway point – today’s piece count brings the total to over 2100 pieces assembled. How in the world is this going so fast?
