To all my readers in the US, Happy Thanksgiving! I hope your holiday is stress-free and that you have a great day spending time with friends and family and eating yourselves silly. I’m truly thankful for all of my family and friends, and hope that I’ve shown my thanks and love all year and haven’t just waited until today to be grateful for you.

To all my readers in other parts of the world, Happy Thursday! Even if you’re not celebrating this American holiday, I’m extremely thankful for everyone who reads and/or comments on this blog and I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know. I appreciate your comments, suggestions, and the fact that you take time out of your day to read my silly little puzzle posts.

Jigsaw puzzles and the puzzle friends I’ve met here have helped me immeasurably through this difficult year, and I don’t know where I’d be without you all. Your readership and friendship (even if it is just online) has been a blessing to me and I’m so grateful for all of you!

SHIT IP

Obviously I’ve gotten the letters mixed up, it’s supposed to say THIS. How did that happen? Oh dear! 😇

This is a 400 piece puzzle, but each letter is it’s own puzzle. I have to say that assembling the edges was much more difficult than I’d assumed. It took me WAY more time than I thought it would, although to be fair I also started a new (very strong) pain medication that morning. All my brain cells may not have shown up for work – or they might have come to work drunk!

All of the letters have the same colors on the inside, so the difficulty continues. Hopefully my poor drunken brain cells will be up to the challenge!

Dog Stamps sort

It’s been a few days again since I worked on a puzzle, but I’ve finally decided which puzzle is next and have gotten started. It’s a Bits and Pieces collage of dog stamps, and I’m sorting it and will be working on it in bed on my white board.

The puzzle is only 300 pieces, and the pieces themselves are oddly shaped. They’re quite blocky and somewhat geometric, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they fit together. Looking at the pieces, it seems like it’s going to be lots of fun. 🙂

Each stamp has the name of a country on it, so there are plenty of words to make me happy; and every stamp has one or more dogs on it, be still my heart!

80's IP

I finally got myself back to the puzzle table and started on this 1500 piece collage of the 80’s. It truly stuns me that this decade was more than 30 years ago. I must be very old indeed!

It’s going together very quickly, most likely because collages make me happy and I love assembling each little section. I didn’t spend much time on it yesterday, but hope to be able to get back there today. It makes me wish I had more collages in the to do pile, this one has been so enjoyable that it would be nice to have some more to do.

I haven’t touched a puzzle in more than two days, it seems as if I’m in another funk. When I get like this every puzzle I look at just doesn’t excite me and I can’t seem to make a decision; it isn’t the puzzles really, it’s just the blahs. Stacey has a bit of a ‘tude today I’m sorry to tell you.

Perhaps just letting my puzzle friends know I’m in a funk and haven’t been puzzling is all I need to get myself back into the swing of things. I have PADS, and the predominant emotion today is unmotivated.
