The rest of Bambi went so quickly I was shocked! 😮

Turns out there wasn’t as much left as I thought, and his little legs are only two or three pieces wide – they went so fast! And I even got Bambi connected to the flowers next Thumper. This section has been so much fun!

Pink flowers are up next I think. I turned the board upside down to work on Bambi’s head and it seems easy enough to just leave it there and work on the flowers at the top. For some reason, when I look at the poster for this section my eyes are always drawn to the pink flowers. I’m sure they’re going to be just as striking and gorgeous as they are in the picture!

I’m officially over the halfway point – today’s piece count brings the total to over 2100 pieces assembled. How in the world is this going so fast?

It’s Bambi! I know I keep saying it, but these guys are so cute!

Thumper now has both his ears (and he’s connected to the edge), and Bambi has a face. He was even easier to put together than Thumper!  I’m enjoying this section very much, just like I thought I would. It’s my reward for sticking with this enormous project – saved the best for last! Although, if I had it to do over again (NO THANK YOU), I might have saved Snow White too. So many characters and bright colors, I may have enjoyed her more if I weren’t so overwhelmed with beginning the enormous project. Ah well, I had fun even if it was a little scary at the start.

There were several errands I had to run today, so I only worked in the morning before I went out and left it alone the rest of the day. I’m resting, watching my latest Netflix show, and working on a much smaller puzzle in bed.

Tomorrow will be continuing with Bambi, giving the poor little guy a body and some legs. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to finish him or not, but I’ll make an effort. It may take 2 more days, but it’ll be fun no matter. 🙂

Yup, I changed my mind – Thumper!

I wasn’t feeling it last night, but this morning I decided to keep going with the characters and cuteness, so here we are. Thumper’s pretty darn cute too, but not quite as adorable as my man Flower. 🙂 Thumper was much easier to assemble though; I’m not sure if it was because he has lighter colors or if I’m just having a better day than yesterday. I won’t try too hard to figure it out, I’ll just be happy that it was a fun, quicker assembly. As an added bonus, his tail connects to the purple flower I already assembled – I love the connections!

I have a few errands to run tomorrow, so I’m not sure how much I’ll be able to do. Hopefully I’ll be able to get a bunch put together in the morning and then after my errands I can spend the remainder of the day resting from the errands. The plan is to finish assembling Thumper and start on Bambi. He takes up much more of the image so he’ll probably take a couple days to finish. But I hope to get started and add some more delightful cuteness to this image!

I couldn’t resist any longer, I had to put Flower together. How cute is he?  SO CUTE!

It doesn’t look like much, but just Flower is over 200 pieces, it took me a while to get him assembled. But he’s just so darn adorable, it was completely worth it!

I’m not sure where I’ll go tomorrow – there’s a lot of different things I could work on. I could try to put Thumper or Bambi together or even work on the pink flowers in the trees. I’m not feeling like working on any other characters at the moment, so I may want to go with the flowers. It all depends on whether or not I burst into flames from these damn hot flashes – I think my inner child is playing with matches!!

Tune in tomorrow evening to see where the sweating menopausal lady decided to assemble pieces in her gigantic midlife crisis puzzle. 😮 🙂

I got a lot of the twinklies filled in, but still have about 100 pieces left that I should be able to fit somewhere around the edges. I think my poor old brain has thought enough for the day because I can’t seem to make the brain cells do the thinky thing. Guess that means it’s time to stop for the day before I get discouraged or upset. Happy thoughts – unlimited nap time and free puzzles! 😉

I do enjoy it when I have a frame to work with, it just seems more like a “regular” puzzle that way. It’s also easier to place things approximately where they go and helps to make the puzzle look more complete. This is all my opinion of course, but since I’m the one doing the puzzle, my opinion is the one that really counts.

Although I still have quite a few twinkly pieces left, I’m unsure whether or not I’ll be working on them tomorrow. I may decide to start working on one of the characters; either Bambi or Flower. Of course as usual, I won’t know until tomorrow when I get into it what I’ll be in the mood to do. Flower is so darn cute – but Bambi can be connected to the filmstrip at the top. Hmmm.
