Vintage Bicycle

Vintage Bicycle
Vintage Bicycle – Ravensburger – 300 pieces

Normally photographic puzzles aren’t my thing, but this had such beautiful image reproduction and great quality – I couldn’t help but love it!

Ravensburger 300 piece puzzles are awesome quality, there’s something about the large pieces that helps you appreciate even more the fantastic chipboard and finish; I adore them. ❤

Buying them retail can be a bit pricey, so pretty much every one I’ve owned or assembled has been from a thrift store. It’s no big deal to pay $1.99 for one when you know that they’re six times as expensive purchased new. I do love a bargain.

I’m so grateful there are so many 300 piece puzzles out there to choose from for those of us with physical issues that make it difficult to sit for long periods or handle smaller pieces. Thankfully I live in Florida, the land of retirees, so there are plenty of 300 piece puzzles in the thrift stores around here for me find and enjoy. 🙂

Courtyard Wash

Courtyard Wash
Courtyard Wash by Tuula Burger – Ceaco – 750 pieces

Meh. Wasn’t bad, wasn’t great, the flowers atop the wall were the most difficult part. It’s a Ceaco puzzle, so you can never be certain of the quality. It was fair, but perhaps this image is just not my pile of pieces.

I like bright colors, patterns, etc., but this one….just…..nope.

Courtyard Wash 1

Is it just me or are these creepy dolls? They look like they know things they shouldn’t. 😕

American Diner

American Diner
American Diner by Steve Crisp – White Mountain – 1000 pieces

It’s been a while since I’ve done a White Mountain puzzle that wasn’t a collage, and I’m not gonna lie, it was a little weird at first! This was very entertaining though, and it got done quickly – not being able to sleep is a good thing if you need help getting enough puzzle time. 😉

Steve Crisp’s artwork makes for fantastic puzzling, if you haven’t assembled one of his puzzles I absolutely recommend you give them a try. They’re beautiful, detailed, colorful, and just altogether great fun.

American Diner 1

I love this dancer, she looks like all she cares about is enjoying herself and dancing – she reminds me of me. 💃💃

American Diner 2

Look who’s on the wall – Marilyn, Elvis, and James Dean! I didn’t notice them on the box image, it was fun to see it up close in the finished puzzle. Jailhouse Rock Elvis was sexy! (I was a weird kid in the 70’s and 80’s and LOVED Elvis just as much as George Michael, Journey, and many others – I make no excuses 😎)

I really enjoyed this one, if you come across a copy it’s definitely recommended!

Butterfly Bunny

Butterfly Bunny
Butterfly Bunny – Milton Bradley – 100 pieces

I love the butterfly “barrette” in the bunny’s hair, it’s too adorable! This was just a quick little puzzle that made me happy to assemble. As is sometimes the case with Milton Bradley puzzles it was only fair quality; I do wish jigsaw puzzles made for children were a little more sturdy. 😐

Kitten Play

Kitten Play
Kitten Play by Olga – Ceaco – 550 pieces

Sorry about the wonky picture again, I’m having a tough time lately for some reason, I really should check the pic on my computer before I break the puzzle down; but I’m always so excited to get going on the next puzzle!

Kitten Play 3

I always start with the edges if I can, and luckily with Ceaco puzzles it’s easy to pick them out, there aren’t any fake edge pieces or ones you aren’t sure of.

Kitten Play 4

The pieces for the flowers, blanket, curtains, wall and wicker/baskets were pulled out on the initial sorting. I start with the pieces that “jump out” at me when I’m sorting. Sometimes by looking at the picture you’d think pieces for a certain area would be easy to find and pull, but it’s not always the case. I usually have a rough idea of what areas I’d like to start with, but it sometimes changes when I actually see the pieces.

Kitten Play 5

Being only 550 pieces (and also being relatively good at sorting 😉 ) I was able to assemble the majority of the puzzle from the pieces I sorted at the beginning.

The two portraits are too cute, and this the sweetest kitten face – I think it’s the blue eyes. 🙂
