In Progress…

Plumes of Color by Eduard – Buffalo – 300 pieces

As I was too chicken to sort or assemble a larger piece count I am currently working on this beauty. It isn’t as difficult as it may look, but it isn’t too easy either – it looks like it’ll be a “goldilocks assembly”.👱‍♀️

Plus, I’m having pretty radical oral surgery in less than two weeks, so I’ve got to get my puzzles-ready-to-post count up before that happens. It’s going to suck, to be sure; but I don’t want to give myself any excuses for staying in bed and wallowing either.

I’ve discovered upon reflection about the last two breaks I took that if there is a post typed up and scheduled I’m more likely to keep at it even if I’m not feeling my best. If I have to get up and write something to post that day it’s more likely that I’ll just stay in bed and do nothing. So, here I am working on smaller puzzles in the hopes that it’ll be quite some time before there’s another mental health break from puzzling.

Ain’t she a purdy puzzle? She’s gonna be stunning all put together!

Crazy Cuisine Cart*

Crazy Cuisine Cart* by Iralu – Cardinal – 150 pieces

So disappointing. Not only was the quality pretty bottom of the barrel, but this little guy was missing seven pieces! It absolutely wasn’t my fault, I opened the bag directly onto the table and there’s no way that many pieces got up and walked away. Oh well, as one of the Puzzle Posse told me; If I put all the pieces available together I have completed the puzzle – even if it wasn’t complete.

This was one of the puzzles from the Cardinal multipack that I knew wouldn’t be great quality, but wanted to assemble the images because they are so different and interesting. Still love the artwork!

Fairytale Cottage

Fairytale Cottage by Valentine Rekunenko – Artifact (Ecru) – 280 pieces

Isn’t this GORGEOUS? I think it is anyway. It’s been about a year since I completed this puzzle, so honestly there isn’t much I remember about it, but it’s still a beautiful image.

It was a very entertaining assembly according to my completed puzzles page from May of 2022 – apparently as soon as it was completed I was ready to assemble it again! Don’t you just love a puzzle that’s that much fun to put together?

Such great whimsies – as usual. From the genie and his magic lamp, prince charming, an elf, three bears (one of them didn’t make it to the photo shoot, but he’s in the puzzle, I swear), to Alice from Wonderland and more – fabulous fairytale whimsy pieces that fit this image perfectly!

The image is so wonderfully detailed, and the colors are fantastic.💜

I love to look at a well cut wooden puzzle from the back, it gives me a better appreciation for the craftsmanship that goes into making them – plus it makes for a very cool picture. 📸

The Prodigal Puzzler Has Returned!

Fireplace Cuddle – 100 pieces – Karmin

Holy crap, she’s finally puzzling again! Alert the media! After another extended mental health break (and some very gentle and kind nagging from my bestest puzzle buddy) I’m finally back at the board and hoping to get back my puzzle mojo. It’s been quite a long while everyone – I hope some of you are still here.

I’m not going to apologize for taking time off (because we should NEVER be sorry for making sure we’re doing whatever we need to do to be mentally healthy), but I am sorry for not giving you all a heads up first that I’d be gone for a while. Can’t say that I’m feeling much better at all, but I suppose if that were the prerequisite for getting back into my favorite hobby than it would never happen. So it’s finally gotten through my thick and graying head that I should just get puzzling and try to reap the benefits that it has on my short-circuited and menopausal brain. Granny needs some dopamine!

To that end, there are a few small wooden puzzles on their way to my house (as a reward to myself for finally getting my a$$ back in front of my board), and I’m working on this cute little 100 piece image of some adorable Boston Terriers. Yep, I’m still a sucker for the puppy puzzles. ❤🐶

I pray that you all are well and happy and still enjoying your puzzles. How have you been? Working on something gorgeous? Frustrating? Fun?

I truly missed you all – my Puzzle Posse. I do hope your P.A.D.S. hasn’t been giving y’all too much trouble.😊
