Cozy Bathroom

Cozy Bathroom by Olga – Ravensburger – 500 pieces

This was a large piece puzzle by Ravensburger, and both the quality and the image made for a wonderful puzzling experience. The pieces felt amazing in my hands, the artwork is stunning, and the fit was exceptional – loved it!

When I work on a puzzle like this it reminds me why Ravensburger is one of my favorite brands of cardboard puzzles; the quality far surpasses most other puzzle companies and they have such a broad range of images in their catalog to choose from. And there’s something about the larger piece puzzles of theirs that is even more satisfying to work with – I just adore them.

This beautiful painting on the wall doesn’t seem very detailed when you see it close up, but you know exactly what it is – an homage to a Monet painting. Gorgeous!

There was something about this tableau in the corner of the image, it’s absolutely beautiful. I don’t know about anyone else, but whenever I see someone bathing on tv or in the movies and there are lit candles everywhere my first thought it how much of a pain in the a*s it would be to light them all in the first place. Or clean up after them when wax spills onto tables or other surfaces. Candlelight is lovely, but sometimes it doesn’t seem as though it’s worth all that work.

Stunning image, fantastic quality, and a wonderful all around assembly; this puzzle is very highly recommended. 🛀👍

What’s Puzzling…

Cozy Bathroom by Olga – Ravensburger – 500 pieces

I’ve only done a couple puzzles with artwork by Olga, and both of them have had only kittens/cats in them – how delightful to have this adorable puppy in this image! How could you resist that sweet face?

Yesterday I had only started on the sorting of this puzzle, but spent most of the day in bed. Luckily (not really), I was up and at the puzzle board at 3 am; so it’s now completely sorted and there is actual assembly going on.🧩

Insomnia is not great for me personally, but it is good for giving me plenty of quiet time to puzzle with no one asking questions or expecting anything of me. It’s also good for making sure there are plenty of puzzles in the queue to be posted – there is much more time for me to puzzle if sleep doesn’t interfere much.

There’s no need to worry about having enough puzzles to get through our upcoming trip, there will be plenty ready to go before we even leave. There will even be enough completed to have a cushion of a couple of days after we return – time for me to get back into the groove of puzzles and posting. I’ll be taking some smaller wooden puzzles and my computer with me, of course, but it’s nice to have a big enough queue of completed puzzles that there’s no worry about keeping up. 😎

Country Kitchen

Country Kitchen by Olga – Buffalo (Country Life Series) – 1000 pieces

This beautiful image was perfect for puzzling, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! Great colors, just enough dark areas so that it wasn’t too easy, and just a lovely picture all around. I’m wishing I had a piece of that apple pie right about now too. 🥧

Excellent quality all around, as has been the usual for Buffalo puzzles that I’ve been working lately. It had a great fit, nice reproduction, very good cut – it was just pleasant to work with in pretty much every way.

All the images through the window were sharp and beautiful. Each had their own assembly challenges, but it was thoroughly engrossing.

This was one of the last sections I put together, it looks as though momma kitty is trying to get her little one out of the cupboard. I’m not really a cat person, but it’s cute.

I truly enjoyed this puzzle, it went together quickly – partly because it was pretty easy to sort; curtains, window, flowers, etc. It wasn’t overly difficult, but was just difficult enough so that it wasn’t boring.

I had a great time with this one, it was only my second image from this artist. I think she’s a cat person, but I won’t hold it against her. 😉

Kitten Play

Kitten Play
Kitten Play by Olga – Ceaco – 550 pieces

Sorry about the wonky picture again, I’m having a tough time lately for some reason, I really should check the pic on my computer before I break the puzzle down; but I’m always so excited to get going on the next puzzle!

Kitten Play 3

I always start with the edges if I can, and luckily with Ceaco puzzles it’s easy to pick them out, there aren’t any fake edge pieces or ones you aren’t sure of.

Kitten Play 4

The pieces for the flowers, blanket, curtains, wall and wicker/baskets were pulled out on the initial sorting. I start with the pieces that “jump out” at me when I’m sorting. Sometimes by looking at the picture you’d think pieces for a certain area would be easy to find and pull, but it’s not always the case. I usually have a rough idea of what areas I’d like to start with, but it sometimes changes when I actually see the pieces.

Kitten Play 5

Being only 550 pieces (and also being relatively good at sorting 😉 ) I was able to assemble the majority of the puzzle from the pieces I sorted at the beginning.

The two portraits are too cute, and this the sweetest kitten face – I think it’s the blue eyes. 🙂
