Lots of good progress today.  The rock is mostly finished, and I got started on the long tree branch that Bagheera is standing on. I was even able to attach one of the flowers to it! I always feel good about being able to attach sections together. Imagine how excited I will be when I’m finished and able to attach all 10 sections together!!!

I’ll work more on the large branch tomorrow, and after that I have no idea where I’ll go next. Usually something jumps out at me.

Hubby will be home most of the day tomorrow.  I don’t know if that means he’ll want to help me with the puzzle, or if he’ll be in my way or asking where things are, etc. Hopefully he’ll either be out of the house, or vegging in front of the tv. Just so he’s out of my way and out of my hair!

My puzzle is set up in his golf room where he keeps everything golf related and where he works on golf clubs as a small side job. So most likely he’ll be working on golf clubs for someone and constantly in my way. I have to remember that I love him when he’s in there making noise and generally being annoying. 😉

Looks like I’ve got the bare necessities of the characters done 😉 Mowgli, Baloo and Bagheera are mostly finished, just a few pieces needed here or there.

I started on the large rock, and boy is that going to be fun. Close up the pieces just look mottled and it is sometimes difficult to recognize the correct piece because the colors change abruptly at some points, even within the light shades. But if it were super easy, I don’t think it would be as much fun.

More work on the rock tomorrow, I don’t know if I’ll be able to get it done but I’m going to try! After the rock, it’s pretty much going to be shades of green for the rest of the puzzle. Just like Peter Pan was all shades of blue after the characters were complete. I got through Peter Pan, and I can definitely get through The Jungle Book!

The Earth 3D- Ravensburger – 540 pieces

My very first 3D puzzle! I must admit I’ve never been interested in doing a 3D puzzle, it just seemed odd to me.  It was so much fun!!

Mom found this at a thrift store for $2.00.  Since it was only 540 pieces I decided we should give it a try, and we both loved it! The plastic pieces feel very nice, and it fits together quite tightly. We  had a great time together assembling it, with lots of giggles and laughter.

I would definitely do another 3D puzzle. I was completely wrong, they are much more fun than I thought!

Filmstrip – finished! I had a little help with it, so it did go faster than normal. It looks great, doesn’t it?

Tomorrow I’ll fill in the dark blue with stars below the film; there isn’t much so it won’t take much time at all.  Then I think I’ll either work on putting together Bagheera or the big rock beside Baloo.  I’m not sure which one will capture my interest.

I haven’t been spending as much time as I would like working on the puzzle as I’ve been feeling terrible.  I hope to be able to work on it more this weekend, because next week will be a busy one for me. 😐 Ick!

Baloo got finished today, and he looks happy about it! Lots of grey and brown, but it wasn’t too difficult. I wasn’t able to work on it as much as I’d have liked today, and by 6 pm I was done for the day. But I’m happy that I was able to get him assembled at least.

Tomorrow I’ll be working on the filmstrip in the morning and hopefully in the evening if I’m feeling up to it. It attaches to the large flower directly below Baloo’s legs and I’ll be able to get the entire section centered on the board and get that large portion attached and placed where it should be. Besides all that, the filmstrip is my favorite part to assemble. 🙂
