Kiddie Puzzles In Progress…

Unnamed Puzzles – Oriental Trading – 12 pieces each

I haven’t started actually assembling any of these puzzles yet; I’ve decided to color them all first. My daughter went out to dinner and somehow got them to give her the puzzles they have for kids to play with at the restaurant. Love her!

Got myself a small box of eight crayons, but I should have known they wouldn’t do the job. I tried coloring in the image with the elephant on the left, but the waxy crayons just aren’t the right tool for the job.

The next time hubby went to the store I asked for a small box of markers, and he decided to get me colored pencils as well. So after the zebra is colored in I’ll try the pencils and see how those look, though I have a feeling the markers will definitely be the best.

If you’re wondering, I actually DO know that zebras aren’t pink and orange, but so what? I think it looks pretty cool and I’m enjoying myself. 🖍😎🖍

Flower…In Progress…

Flower Jungle II by Krovblit – Buffalo – 300 pieces

Got started on this puzzle yesterday, but didn’t work for very long at all and spent most of the remaining day in bed. Sigh.

The Buffalo quality is very good, and the colors and image are amazing. Even though there is still plenty left to go I’m enjoying it very much. I haven’t come across this artist before, Krovblit. Apparently he is an artist who works primarily with collages, but combines that with digitally altering some images before he cuts and pastes them by hand.

I hope there are more puzzles of his to find!

I Love Music In Progress…

I Love Music by Charlie Girard – White Mountain – 1000 pieces

This was finally sorted and assembly began yesterday, and it’s going quite well! It’s been a minute since I’ve done a brand new White Mountain puzzle, and honestly I’m quite impressed with the quality. Has anyone else noticed if their puzzles have improved in the quality department?

The finish is much nicer than their older puzzles in my opinion – it’s no longer shiny but matte and the hand feel is excellent; I’ve found myself rubbing my fingertips over the assembled sections absentmindedly as I’m thinking or looking for pieces. I like this new finish. 😊

The fit seems nice as well, it’s absolutely Goldilocks in this puzzle; not too tight, not too loose, just right. 👱‍♀️🐻🐻🐻

When I started sorting I thought this would NOT be as entertaining as I’d hoped, but thankfully I was wrong. Again. It’s going well and I’m finding it hard to walk away from. There’s always one piece more, I remember seeing that one, and it should go here……..

Cardinal Glass by Cynthie Fisher – Big Ben (Luxe) – 500 pieces

I’m farther along in this puzzle than the picture shows, but I took this to send to my daughter while she was at work and it was too sweet not to share with you all.

My parent’s furbaby, shown above, has been coming to my house every day along with my daughter’s little pupper – I’ve recently become doggy day care for the family. This little guy usually likes to sit behind me in my puzzling chair, but I was really hurting that day and needed my whole chair. He looked so sad though and I’m a big ol’ softie; and since he’s so small I just plopped him up on the puzzle table so he could be close to me without messing with my hip and back. Ain’t he a cutie pie? 🐶🐾

The puzzle I’m working on isn’t great quality, and it’s been frustrating me a bit so I’ve put up the poster to help me out and perhaps get me to the finish line faster. I don’t want to give up on it, but I also want to get it over with. You’ve been there before, right?

Balloon World In Progress…

Balloon World by Royce B. McClure – Wentworth – 40 pieces

If you couldn’t already tell from the title, you’d know by the whimsy pieces that this is an image of hot air balloons. It’s so bright and colorful, and although it isn’t going to take me long I’m very much looking forward to it.

Normally images of hot air balloons aren’t really my thing, I feel as though it’s overdone and have seen way too many; but for some reason this one speaks to me today and I think it’ll be fun. Here’s hoping.

I tried to go puzzle shopping at the bookstore yesterday, but there wasn’t really anything interesting in a smaller piece count (which was what I was looking for specifically). I didn’t buy anything at all! 🤯
