The Party

The Party – Buffalo – 500 pieces

This very dark looking puzzle was difficult at times, but not nearly as challenging as I thought – it was much more enjoyable than anticipated!

The fit was looser than normal for a Buffalo puzzle, but it was otherwise good quality. The image reproduction was stellar, which it absolutely needed to be for such a dark image. Overall, other than the fit I was very happy with this puzzle.

The border was a little challenging, but not too awful. Sometimes a solid border like that can be extremely frustrating, but the shapes of Buffalo pieces make it a little easier and the system that I use to put edges together helped quite a bit as well.

I started with the kids, obviously. The faces were the easiest to pick out, and their clothing all had different textures to them that weren’t too hard to find. Then I put together those large letters, which other than the house below was the most difficult part of the entire image.

This dark bleeping house was the hardest part of the puzzle, but luckily it wasn’t too many pieces. It’s the only part of the puzzle that had me separating the pieces by shape, and even then I really had to pay close attention.

As a fan of the tv show Stranger Things I was excited to put this puzzle together, thank goodness it wasn’t disappointing!

My Favorite Color

My Favorite Color by Velvet Spectrum – Buffalo – 300 pieces

Boy, was I wrong about this puzzle – it was much easier than I anticipated, but not so easy as to be boring. It was such a good time! I started in the morning and was finished pretty quickly before midday. Great quality, beautiful image with such striking color – I absolutely loved it.💜

Started with the solid (ish) colors around the edges and worked in toward the center with the words. It wasn’t even close to as hard as I thought it would be. But it kept me absorbed and focused, and I ended up with this gorgeous image to share with you all. 💟

I can’t think of much else to tell you other than if you think you might enjoy this puzzle you should go for it. It was lots of fun and it’s so darn pretty!

Quilt Farm In Progress…

Quilt Farm by Eduard – Buffalo – 1000 pieces

This is one of the Country Life images from Buffalo, and as usual it’s an entertaining and well-made puzzle. There was zero progress made yesterday, but today I’m feeling as though there will be some good progress made. It seems like a good day for puzzling, doesn’t it?

My next section to tackle is the quilts; both the ones in the back of the truck and the ones set up on display behind it. It may take a while, but it’ll be so beautiful and colorful once it’s done!

Most of the fruits and vegetables are already done, as are the house, barn, and both trucks. The most difficult part seems as if it will be the grass/driveway in the middle of the picture. It shouldn’t be too terrible though, I’m actually looking forward to it. 😎

Antique Market In Progress…

Antique Market by Eduard – Buffalo – 1000 pieces

This image is quite difficult to walk away from; there are so many small things to discover and one piece leads to finding something else…it’s hard for me to stop because I know what the next piece looks like. All I have to do is find it!

The colors are so bright and while the image could seem crowded it doesn’t feel that way as I’m assembling it. My one issue is the finish seems unusually shiny, more so than your average Buffalo puzzle. Perhaps it’s just me and this is how they always are, it’s hard to tell.

As usual I started with all the words, except for the ones on the teal colored roof; those were done separately. Otherwise I just worked with whatever small section seemed like it would be fun to put together. It’s going rather quickly, and I’m enjoying myself immensely.

Working on something fun today? I hope so. Happy puzzling my friends!

Slow Day

Slow Day by Charles Wysocki – Buffalo – 300 pieces

A quick little puzzle with a wonderfully quaint Wysocki image – it was a joy to put together. I always enjoy the artwork of Charles Wysocki, even more so if it isn’t the typical town scene. This one has only one building and is a more close up view than most of his artwork that I’ve seen.

The quality was excellent, with no bent pieces and an exceptional fit. Truly a wonderful puzzle to assemble.

I wish I had more to say about this one, but it was just a lovely assembly of an excellent quality puzzle. It was thoroughly enjoyable from the first piece to the very last.💚
