Rainbow Tarts

Rainbow Tarts – Buffalo – 300 pieces

This was a perfect puzzle for when I wasn’t feeling up to much puzzling – it was easy to sort and assemble – which was just what I needed. It had a quality problem, but it was still a fun one to put together.

I normally don’t have problems with Buffalo puzzles, but there was an issue with the image on this puzzle. There were tears in the image, as if the pieces weren’t cut all the way through and they tore when the pieces came apart. They were small little rips, but still noticeable to me. I emailed Buffalo about the problem, and have yet to hear back from them other than the automated response.

It was so easy to sort that it was no problem at all to assemble this line by line. The most difficult colors were the first three lines, after that it was even easier!

Even though this would have been easy to finish in no time at all it was on my board for a few days, I took my time because I wasn’t really in the mood to puzzle – but I needed to just the same. When my mood gets very low I don’t want to do anything at all; puzzling can help me out of it, but sometimes I need to force it and that’s when these smaller piece count puzzles are the best choice.

Quilt Farm by Eduard – Buffalo (Country Life) – 1000 pieces

Such a beautiful image, and it was so entertaining to assemble that it went together quite quickly. If you’re looking for a great puzzle and the image is to your liking I highly recommend this one.

The quilts were all so colorful and the patterns were so interesting. You know I can’t resist a puzzle with quilts, there’s just something about them. I can’t put my words together to properly convey how happy they make me, but I’ll keep trying. 😊

For some idiotic reason I thought this section with the vegetables would be pretty easy to assemble – boy was I wrong! It turns out that the wooden boxes were much more simple to find and put together. The veggies, well they weren’t always so easy.

Another of my loves, puzzles with dogs. 💕 Of course you were going to get a closer picture of these adorable puppies!

Great puzzle, beautiful image, gorgeous quilts – what’s not to love?

Burma Road In Progress…

Burma Road by Charles Wysocki – Buffalo (Silver Edition) – 1000 pieces

Although I am very much enjoying this Wysocki image, my first impression of this Buffalo Silver Edition puzzle is one of disappointment. The only difference I can see so far is the box; it’s much fancier than a regular Buffalo puzzle and the pieces come in a resealable plastic bag – that’s it.

The fit is VERY loose, the cut is a bit odd, and I’m just not that impressed with it at all. I was hoping it would have thicker pieces, or a more snug fit, or a different cut – something to make it different from their regular puzzles. This Silver Edition puzzle is underwhelming. 😥

Still, it’s a very nice image and I’m enjoying myself even if the puzzle quality isn’t up to my snobby standards.

Rainbow Tarts – Buffalo – 300 pieces

This puzzle is beautiful, fun, and relatively easy to assemble. That being said, there is a quality issue with it that’s quite disappointing for me, and I’ve already sent an email to the company about it.

There are rips in the image on the puzzle, as if it weren’t cut all the way through and when the pieces came apart they peeled off. I haven’t had a quality issue like this with a Buffalo puzzle before, and it’s a bit of a bummer for me as I really love the image.

Still, it shouldn’t take too long to finish, and the colors really are lovely.

Antique Market

Antique Market by Eduard – Buffalo – 1000 pieces

What a fantastic puzzle to assemble! It had great quality, a beautiful, colorful image with many things to discover; but it wasn’t so busy as to be difficult or distracting. I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would, which is always a fun thing to discover while you’re puzzling. 😍

The quality was excellent, very nice to find since there have been a few problems with bent pieces lately with Buffalo puzzles that I’ve done. There was no problem with this puzzle though, and I thoroughly enjoyed the assembly. The fit was tight and the puzzle laid flat, the image reproduction (especially the color) was excellent, and there were the usual variety of piece shapes. The chipboard was thick and felt good in the hand – overall it was just a wonderful puzzle!

Regular readers know I just can’t resist a puzzle with quilts; and there were several in this image. The colors and patterns were absolutely beautiful!

There were many tires and wheels in this image, but they weren’t as easy to find as you might think. I pulled as many pieces with wagon wheels and tires as I could during the initial sorting, but missed almost as many as I found. This red tractor looks as though it would be easy to find the pieces, but there was so much red in the image that this was one of the last things to be put together. It’s a great looking old tractor though, isn’t it?

It wasn’t too easy as to be boring, there was just the right amount of challenge and I completely adored this one. The assembly went faster than I thought, mostly because it was difficult to walk away from. Each small section led to another, and it was so much fun! If you’re looking for a great image that’s entertaining to assemble I highly recommend this puzzle. 👍👍
