I’m Falling Behind…

Today’s post was supposed to be the start of the Jungle Selfies, but I haven’t been able to get myself out of bed and in front of the computer to write up all the posts yet. I tried this morning, but my work-from-home husband is talking to himself, typing so loudly you’d think he hates the keyboard with a fiery passion, and in general making it so that I cannot hear myself think. How I wish our house were big enough that he could have a home office to himself!

So, I’m behind in writing up posts.

Only one of the twelve adorable selfies has a name and backstory, and honestly it isn’t great or nearly polished enough. I tried to keep going, but the ruckus my husband was making had me daydreaming about peeling the skin off his face or shoving bamboo shoots under his fingernails rather than cute names and silly job titles for the sweet-faced jungle selfie puzzles.

Sorry. I’m blaming almost all of it on my bleeping husband and his aggressive typing and need to narrate his life as it happens. How will I survive when he retires? Or rather, will he survive?

Tomorrow will be a post about an actual jigsaw puzzle, I promise.

My New Puzzles

Most Everyone is Mad/Lions & Tigers & Bears Oh My by Dean MacAdam – Ravensburger – 1000 pcs. each

The addictive Ravensburger puzzle dust took hold in my system and two more of their puzzles have found their way onto my shelves. I couldn’t help myself.

I didn’t want to.

After assembling Hansel & Gretel and enjoying it so much, I knew I’d have a great time with the other images by Dean MacAdam. They’ve both been adopted and brought here to a loving home. ❤

Eggcellent

Eggcellent – Buffalo (Vivid Collection) – 1000 pieces

This bright, beautiful, colorful puzzle was truly a joy to assemble. I always enjoy having blocks or sections of color or patterns to work with, and this was perfect for me! 💜💛🧡

The quality of this Buffalo puzzle was stellar, you can see in the picture above what a great fit it had, and the reproduction was beautiful. As always there are a variety of piece shapes and the cut itself was excellent. I think this is the best quality puzzle of this brand that I’ve assembled in a while.

I don’t always remember to get holiday puzzles done in time, but thankfully this beauty showed up at the right moment and I remembered (which is a small miracle in itself) that the holiday was coming up. I’m pretty proud of myself actually. 😊

Happy Easter to those of you that celebrate the holiday. I hope whether you’re celebrating or not that you have a wonderful Sunday.

Happy puzzling my friends! 🧩💖

Hansel and Gretel Beware!

Hansel and Gretel Beware! by Dean MacAdam – Ravensburger – 1000 pieces

This gorgeous image by Dean MacAdam was even more fun than I thought it would be – and I thought it would be GREAT fun! There are two other images by this artist that Ravensburger has out right now, and I think the money in my wallet is straining to get out and buy them for me. 😇

Of course it was great quality, and every time I assemble a Ravensburger it makes me want to do even more of their puzzles. Perhaps there’s some sort of addictive additive in the puzzle dust? Or it could be that it’s just the fantastic puzzles that make me want more. You can see in the above image that the fit is excellent and the piece shapes don’t overpower the look of the completed puzzle. Excellent quality all around.

Creepy bunny here really stood out to me from the first moment I saw the artwork. Love it!

The artwork by Dean MacAdam is absolutely fantastic. It looks too dark around the sides when you’re sorting it, but as you get familiar with the puzzle you begin to see that they’re not just dark and you can tell approximately where the pieces should go. It was definitely my kind of image, and so much fun to get to know this puzzle and reassemble it.

Like the look of this one? It was so entertaining, I adored it! 💖

Vintage Atlas

Vintage Atlas – Re-marks – 1000 pieces

My apologies for the picture, it isn’t one of my best. Some days I just can’t seem to get it together and this day was one of them. Wonky picture aside, this was an excellent puzzle that was loads of fun to assemble and I highly recommend it.

Great quality, probably the best Re-marks puzzle that I’ve assembled in a very long time. The reproduction is stellar – even very small details are sharp and visible. The fit was very good and the nice variety of shapes made for an interesting assembly. Overall, this puzzle was very impressive.

There’s something about this illustration of a Hawaiian island; the people shown and all of their activities made it easy to sort and very entertaining to put together.

There’s something calming about this image – and the color scheme was quite easy to pick out too. (Also, shout out to my international puzzle pal from Finland! 😎)

This old map image of the “cittie” of London was one of the first sections I assembled. It wasn’t overly easy but looks amazing.

Vintage Atlas was a great puzzle – and if it looks like something you’d enjoy I highly recommend it. 🧩💚
