Lake Moraine by Lillia – Buffalo Games – 300 pieces

Normally I don’t really enjoy landscapes, but the colors in this one were too pretty to pass up. The colors and how they blend remind me of the work of Aimee Stewart – I think it’s absolutely beautiful.

Buffalo 300 piece puzzles are excellent quality, and this one was no different: thick, sturdy chipboard, beautiful image reproduction, great fit, and a very nice variety of piece shapes. An all-around quality puzzle.

The detail in the artwork is amazing, and made for quite the interesting assembly. I haven’t done any puzzles with this artist’s images before, and I enjoyed it very much. Hopefully there are more puzzles out there with their artwork for me to find and assemble. 💙

I’m not sure I’ve ever been able to do this with a Buffalo puzzle before; but when the disassembly started it held together so well that I decided to give it a try – it worked!

Puzzle Pow! – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

What’s not to love about this image? For me, not much; bright colors and lots of words – a couple of things that I really like in a puzzle. I had a great time putting this one together, and it was done without help. Hubby seemed to think it would be too difficult and didn’t really work on it at all.

That’s ok, I don’t need help – I can do it myself! 😠 *stomp*

I’m absolutely loving having these small puzzles to work on again. It’s nice to walk away from a difficult puzzle – or just a difficult section of a puzzle – and have a cute little one to work on a couple of pieces at a time.

Ya’ll may think my bathroom puzzles are weird, or whatever. I don’t really care, I love them!

As usual on days like this I’d like to express my appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to my readers for sticking with me through thick and thin, and for spending some of your precious time reading my little puzzle blog. Joyeux Noël

Joyeux Noël by Hello Angel – Wentworth – 206 pieces

Isn’t this a beautiful image? I fell in love with it when I saw it, and couldn’t wait to put it together; I even got a copy for my favorite sister-in-law and her family. (It’s my tradition to send them a beautiful wooden puzzle every Christmas for them to assemble as a family over the holidays) It’s just so lovely, and not your usual Christmas puzzle – you know how muchI love that!

The description said “extra difficult” for this puzzle, because of the repetitively cut snowflake shaped pieces. I’ve done several puzzles that Wentworth said would be extra difficult, and I never found them to be that much of a challenge. This one though … oh boy… it’s deserving of that title. After I put together about the first five pieces I told hubby, “Your sister is going to hate me for sending her this puzzle – it’s really hard!”

It was late in the evening when I started, and the next morning with a freshly-caffeinated brain I worked on it a little more. Once my coffee soaked gray cells wrapped themselves around how the pieces fit together it wasn’t too bad – but it is still probably the most challenging Wentworth puzzle I’ve done.

Even so – a very, very entertaining puzzle. And although my SIL and her family may need an adult beverage or two to deal with this puzzle, I hope they enjoy it and forgive me for sending a puzzle that is très difficile. 😉

Here you can see the snowflake cut, which is part of why it was such a challenge. I loved it though, and the finished puzzle is so different – and beautiful!

**You have NO idea what I went through to get the umlaut over the “e” in Noël! This new wordpress editor doesn’t make things as easy as they think it does, and it must have taken me close to 10 minutes to figure it out – even with googling how to do it.**

Reindeer Games

Reindeer Games – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

Is this not an adorable puzzle? I thought I was done with holiday puzzles this year, but this cutie arrived in the mail and since it had the year 2021 all over it I had to get it done. It wasn’t too much of a sacrifice. 😉

Hubby loved this one, and was constantly working on it. He’d go in and sit down, then come out and tell me what he was able to get put into the puzzle, or exactly how many pieces he was able to add. He enjoyed it very much, and was very proud of everything he was able to accomplish.

I loved it too, such a great image!
