Happy Mother’s Day

My fabulous daughter got me this personalized travel cup for Mother’s Day – does she know her momma or what? I love it! The letters inside the pieces are the initials of my kids.  (She had to explain that to me, but in my defense I had taken my pain meds and my brain cells weren’t fully present)

Happy Mother’s Day to everyone! 💖

Four Puzzles Today

glennys_garden_shop

I’ve picked this image out of my stash of wooden micro puzzles to work on today – Glenny’s Garden Shop by Steve Read. A lot of flowers in a puzzle can be trying at times, but at 40 pieces I can assemble just about any image!

I’ve also pulled out another flowery image, Roses Around the Door by Stephen Darbishire, again a wooden micro puzzle by Wentworth.

It’s a little fuzzier and brushstroke-y, the kind of artwork that I think is best puzzled in tiny little bits. Perhaps only 40 little bits. 😉

I’m working on building my queue back up, since my mojo seems to have finally gotten a ride back to me and is on the way home. So the plan for today is these two micro puzzles, as well as two of the educational 24 piece kids puzzles that need assembly. After I finish those four my plan is to start working on a 1000 piece collage that I’m very much looking forward to.

So many brights colors and lots of words! Awesome!!!

Started Sorting…

I started sorting this 500 piece Buffalo puzzle this morning. I’m looking forward to putting together so many signs and words – words to assemble are my happy place. 🙂

Mom and I finished The Messenger yesterday, and I also started and completed a 300 piece after mom went home. Can’t say my mojo is back entirely, but perhaps it’s on it’s way home.

My oldest is driving me to Sam’s Club this morning to pick up a couple of things (and get more driving practice before his road test 😱). I wonder if they have jigsaw puzzles there? Hmmm.

In Progress

The Messenger

So I didn’t lie to you all yesterday, I actually started a puzzle! My fantastic friend and fellow puzzle blogger Penny swapped puzzles with me and one of them was this wooden puzzle by Artifact called The Messenger.

Mom came over in the afternoon and we got going on this beauty – it’s gorgeous so far! I received the puzzle in a plastic bag so we have no image to work off of – we’re fine with that. 😁

I remember reading Penny’s review of the puzzle several years ago, and I’ve seen it before on Artifact’s website; we could look up the image if we really needed to, but I enjoy spending time with the pieces and figuring it out. Check out the interesting edge – love it!

Thanks again Penny!

I Chickened Out

Well, it’s no surprise to me that I didn’t even open the box of The Masters puzzle this weekend. I didn’t touch any puzzles at all. 😦

Luckily for me, I got four puzzles today. Two 300 piecers from mom that are secondhand, and two in the mail from Penny, one of my readers and email pen pals. We swapped a couple of puzzles, which didn’t cost much since we both live in the same state. 🙂 All four of them look like lots of fun!

Now I have four different ones to choose from and I am definitely, without a doubt, absolutely, no matter what going to start one of them today. Not only do I miss having the energy to sit and puzzle, I’m almost completely out of finished puzzles for this blog!

I think my readers have quite a few kids puzzles and micro puzzles to look forward to until I get my mojo back. Usually I would apologize for that, but this blog is about the puzzles I do, and I can’t choose them based on what other people like – otherwise my attitude would be worse than it is now. Yikes.
