Almost There…

I’m down to two trays of pieces left on the 2000 piece puzzle, and I’m hoping to finish it today. Only a few hundred pieces to go. 🙂 It’s been so long since I’ve done such a large puzzle, I’m pretty proud of myself! Once it’s done I’d better get a move on and do some smaller puzzles to build my queue back up, I’ve only got four completed puzzles in there.

My youngest son came in the puzzle room yesterday and asked which puzzle I would do next after I finish the current one. He then proceeded to grab boxes one after the other and suggest that I do them next. “Nope”, “Not in the mood for that one”, “Too many pieces”, “I need a smaller one”, etc. He finally picked up one of my Wentworth micro puzzles and showed it to me, and I said “Good choice, I haven’t done that one yet.”

He almost never wants to help me with my puzzles, but it was sweet of him to try and help me pick out the next one. And it made him very happy when I decided to do one of the puzzles he’d suggested. Sometimes when I’m absorbed in a puzzle I don’t always take the time for simple things like letting him help me decide on the next puzzle to assemble; I’m trying to do better. 💝

2000 Pieces!?!

2000 pieces

It’s been almost 2 years since I’ve completed a 2000 piece puzzle, but I started this one yesterday. I did start assembling one in February, but it was in my room and tucked under the dresser when I wasn’t working on it. Unfortunately while I was playing with my Buddy, he got a little overexcited and tossed his toy into the air and he went sliding into the puzzle to try and catch it. Oops!

So according to this blog it was October of 2017 the last time I finished anything over 1500 pieces. Wow. Anxiety is a b***h. At least it is for me. 😕

I loved this image so much that even though it was 2000 pieces (and that is pretty anxiety-inducing for me) I bought it anyway. It took a while for me to get the courage to start it, but here I go!

Buddy never climbs up onto the puzzle table, so I think I’m going to be able to finish this one without any interference. And I also won’t have any excuses to give up on it either, so even if it takes a while I’m determined to get it done.

The Sewing Shed In Progress

In Progress 2

I barely got a start on this yesterday evening before the family was wanting food. How rude! They’re always making demands on my time for silly things like sustenance, it’s quite an annoyance. 😉

This puzzle was new in the wrapper and one of the puzzles I brought over from mom’s house; my daughter and I finally started going through her things this weekend. There are still so many puzzles I have to go through, but I only brought home two brand new Ravensburgers that were sitting right on top of all the boxes. I remember when this one was delivered to her house, she was so excited! She was always doing crafts, sewing, crocheting, knitting, etc. She absolutely adored this image and was looking forward to putting it together.

They moved before she was able to get started on this one, and it ended up packed in a box which is where I found it. So now I’m putting it together in her place. And although it makes me sad that she didn’t get to assemble it for herself, I do smile when I remember that just buying this puzzle brought her joy. Hopefully I have as much fun assembling it as she did buying it. 🙂

It’s fitting that I’m working on one of her puzzles now, today would have been my parent’s 54th wedding anniversary; I’ll be thinking of her even more than usual today. Love you mom. 💖

Panorama in Progress

In Progress

I’m almost done with the 1000 piece panoramic puzzle I’m working on; all that’s left is the trees and grass. I’ve separated the pieces by shape, and it shouldn’t be too long now.

I’m excited to complete this one, and I’ve been having a great time with all the panoramic puzzles I’ve been assembling lately. It’s nice being able to comfortably reach the top of the puzzle, and in general I just enjoy them even though I’m not sure exactly why.

All the images I’ve found have been completely entertaining and engrossing – I think I may be addicted to panoramic puzzles at the moment. 😉

A New Week

A new week, and I’m starting a new puzzle – what could be better? I’m only just sorting it, but I’m loving the colors and hope it will be great fun.

I hope whatever puzzle you are working on is both entertaining and relaxing; or if you don’t have one going, I hope you find the time to start a new one and enjoy all the pleasures of puzzling. They truly are good for your mental and physical health! 👩‍⚕️

Happy puzzling to all my fellow PADS sufferers!
