It’s much slower going now, everything left is just sky.  Different shades of the sky at night.  I finished Big Ben and started on the lightest color of the clouds.  I was also able to finally complete the trail of pixie dust so it is all connected.  Everything you see on the board is connected, that always makes me feel like I’ve made lots of progress.

Today’s piece count was the lowest so far for this section, but it looks like I got lots done, so I’m pleased.

I wonder what I should work on tomorrow.  Sky perhaps? 😉

img_2364Most of Big Ben is done; still have a few pieces to add on the left side, the spire at the top and the lower portion. But it looks impressive compared to yesterday! 🙂

I’m exhausted and hurting and cannot think of another thing to say.  I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and is enjoying the holiday season.

Books by Igor Kravarik – Heye -1500 pieces

I must have been having balance issues when I took a picture of this puzzle because it is crazy crooked and I don’t even have the whole puzzle in the picture!  In my defense I didn’t know I’d be starting a blog and posting any of these pictures. Apologies. Annie Liebovitz has nothing to worry about, I am definitely no competition!

My first Heye puzzle and oh dear, I’m in love with this company too!  The pieces are a little smaller than average and look thinner than Ravensburger, but it doesn’t matter because they feel sturdy and dense and fit together very well.  The image reproduction was stellar, really beautiful and detailed.

This image really drew me in, I love the concept of how a book gets published and the journey a book takes from the author’s initial meeting with the publisher to it’s eventual end being read by a consumer (even if it’s nothing like what really happens). It’s a gorgeous picture and I had a great time assembling it.

After this puzzle I had another small break from reality and purchased a LOT of Heye puzzles.  In addition to the excellent quality of Heye I love the triangle boxes of the cartoon puzzles, and that you get a ginormous poster inside. The new Heye catalog was just released for 2017, and oh dear there are SOOO many that I want!

All it takes is faith and trust, and a little bit of pixie dust!

It doesn’t look like much, but I feel like I made great progress today! Mostly because I was able to connect almost everything together. The pixie dust was the key!

You can’t tell unless you’re looking close up, but the pixie dust has colors in it, which made it a little easier than I thought to get it all assembled. It was still time consuming, but not too terrible. Once the pixie dust was completed Wendy, John, Michael and Tinkerbell were all connected. When I put Peter where he goes I was only missing one piece to connect him to Wendy, and it was a piece I had put with the pixie dust so I found it very quickly.

Once I finished dog sitting for my mom I still had some time to work on the puzzle, so I started assembling the clock tower and statues below Wendy. This allowed me to attach the characters and pixie dust to the rest of the puzzle – almost everything on the board is connected! Still missing a few pieces of the pixie dust that I must not have sorted properly, but it was a pretty good day!

Got most of the dark blue starry/edge pieces assembled, and now begins the fun part! I have absolutely no idea where to go from here, no idea where to start tomorrow. I am completely clueless. As usual. 🙂

What you see there is about 1600 pieces assembled, which means there are approximately 2400 left to go. Yowza. And except for the twinklies they are all shades of blue. I may try to do the trail of fairy dust left by Tinkerbell, but I learned in the Cinderella section that it can be difficult and time consuming. Although, that’s pretty much going to be the entire rest of the puzzle, so I might as well go for it, right?
