Two more days oughta do it, I’m almost there!

This is always the best part of the puzzle for me, the number of pieces is dwindling and each piece is easier and easier to find. It makes you feel like you are AWESOME at puzzles, look how quickly I found that piece! Or maybe that’s just me, whatever. 😉

I’m off to bed to rest for the remainder of the day, I’ll be back puzzling again tomorrow.

Looking good! I decided to just work up the right side, and it went well. I was only able to work a few minutes at a time today, but I got a bit done and it should only be 2 or 3 more days now before it’s done!

I have to say the scroll work on the banister has been the toughest part of this section so far, but it’s still all fun. 🙂 I’m happy that I decided to save the fun ones for last. Even though I still would be plugging away regardless of which section I was doing, I’m glad I decided to leave the easier/brighter/fun ones till the end. It’s like a little present I am giving myself for getting this far. I can’t believe I’m so close to finishing the entire puzzle, let alone this section. What am I going to do with this thing? Ack!

Anyway, tomorrow I hope to finish the right side of the puzzle, and depending on how I’m feeling perhaps I’ll get started on filling in the left side.  Or maybe I should slow down and make it last a little longer. Hmm.

Peacock Garden by Monika Forsberg – eeBoo – 1008 pieces

Another new company 🙂 I don’t remember where I heard of them, but when I saw their 1000+ piece puzzles I really wanted to get one to try. I wasn’t disappointed!

I love the artwork for this puzzle and it was super fun to assemble. Mom and I worked on it together and had a great time! I loved being able to pull all the pieces for one small section and assemble them without having to look at the box or poster. Just a fun, entertaining puzzle all around if you ask me.

The pieces fit together wonderfully and were extremely sturdy.  The image reproduction is gorgeous and the colors are bright and beautiful. All the things I love! The only drawback for me was that the finish on the pieces was shiny and there was a lot of glare under lights. Other than that I had no problems/issues with this puzzle at all. I would definitely recommend eeBoo puzzles!

They have a really cool zodiac puzzle that I would love to do. (hint hint for those of you who know me and are looking for a gift idea 😉 )

Not too shabby! One gargoyle done, completed a lot more of the stairs, and filled in some holes where I could. Still have plenty of banister left to go on both sides and a whole other gargoyle.

Just over 1000 pieces left now, so it should be speeding up soon – I hope, I hope! There’s still lots of pink left to go for the floor and walls, but it shouldn’t be too difficult. I plan to get all remaining pieces laid out on trays so I’ll be able to find any piece I’m looking for. That may slow me down a bit at first, but it’ll be worth it. 🙂

If I get everything laid out on trays I may start tomorrow filling in the rest of the right side which will help immensely when I start on the left – I’ll always know what piece shape I’m looking for!  Or I may try to at least get the other gargoyle assembled first. As usual it will depend on how my “interesting” brain is functioning at the time. Who knows? I certainly don’t!

Most of the stairs are complete, it’s starting to look like the picture! I’m having a difficult time deciding whether or not I’m going to work on the pink walls and floors next, or if I should do the banisters and gargoyles.

There are pros and cons for each and I keep changing my mind. I guess you’ll find out if you check on tomorrow’s progress. 🙂

Sorry the update is so short today, I’m hurting and really need to go lie down for the rest of the night. Have a great weekend!
