Finally got started today, didn’t get as much done as I’d hoped. Mowgli is done except for his hair, all the pink flowers are done, and Baloo and Bagheera both have their faces.
I had a horrible day and wasn’t able to work on it in the afternoon or evening at all. Here’s hoping tomorrow is a better day.
Section number 4 complete! Â It didn’t take long at all today, there weren’t many pieces left. Â I’m so proud of myself, this section was difficult!
So 15 days for this puzzle, not too shabby. It was a nice change after finishing Dumbo to have 4 larger characters to assemble instead of one huge character. The filmstrip is always fun, and because this is a corner there was twice as much filmstrip to assemble. This section was a challenge, but I still enjoyed it very much.
So, onto the next section – The Jungle Book. There’s a lot of green, but it’ll be a nice change from all the blue. 🙂 It won’t be a walk in the park either, but I still plan on having a great time assembling it. Besides, this one is my favorite Disney movie and I LOVE the music from it. It’ll be fun listening to the soundtrack while I work.
There are lots of plants and water, little splashes of color with the flowers, a very large rock and of course Mowgli, Baloo and Bagheera. A beautiful image and I’m very excited to get going on it. And when The Jungle Book is complete I will be halfway done! WOW!
Thrift store purchase. The quality was, uh, not up to snuff. Â Yikes. Â There were only 2 different piece styles and the thickness of the pieces was extremely thin. Â The finish of the image was shiny and gave off quite a bit of glare.
Looking back on it, I’m surprised I even finished this puzzle. Â The image isn’t one I would normally choose, and the quality was quite poor. Â If someone gave it to me now I don’t think I would even start it.
Once it was completed we gave it away – lesson learned.  I am now a jigsaw puzzle snob (according to my mother) and this isn’t a brand I like or recommend.
It’s almost there! I only have one row to finish on the right side and 2 rows on the top!
It always seems to go much faster near the end, there are less pieces to choose from and it’s much easier to match up shades of color and shapes. I’ll finish tomorrow, I’m super excited!
I was completely wrong when I thought that I’d want to take a break in between sections, because all I want to do is immediately get going on the next one! .I’ve already pulled the bag of pieces for the next section. Once I finish tomorrow I’ll probably get going right away on sorting if I’m feeling up to it.
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s picture of the completed Peter Pan section! 🙂  I will do my best to take a good picture with no glare.
World of Books by Aimee Stewart – Ravensburger – 2000 pieces
Perhaps my favorite puzzle of the year so far; Â gorgeous artwork by Aimee Stewart, not an overly difficult assembly, and 2000 pieces to keep me busy for a few days.
Aimee Stewart’s shelf puzzles for Ravensburger are just beautiful, I own them all and have completed almost every one. Her artwork is absolutely stunning and her use of colors just blows my mind. Â She is one of my favorite puzzle artists. Â In addition, the puzzle is a Ravensburger, my absolute favorite puzzle company. Â Best quality out there in my opinion.
My daughter got this for me as a gift, what a sweetie! I can’t recommend this puzzle enough – beautiful, fun and exceptional quality.
