Tube-tastic

Tube-tastic – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

This little thing was MUCH more difficult than anticipated, I was constantly putting pieces in the wrong places! I thought the image would be fun (it was) and wouldn’t take too long (it did); but no matter, the challenge got me motivated to finish it and it was enjoyable the whole way through.

Normally I don’t have to use the image on the tube these puzzles come in – but for all the little scribbles on the paper it definitely helped to have a reference.

The fit was a little looser than usual, but otherwise it was the same great quality MicroPuzzle that I’m used to. Loved it!

Tiki Mask Montage

Tiki Mask Montage – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

My daughter picked out this puzzle, and she did a fantastic job. This was so much more entertaining than anticipated, and more than once I found myself sitting in the bathroom just so I could add a few more pieces to the puzzle.

The bright colors, the different masks – it was all thoroughly enjoyable from the first edge pieces to the final piece in the middle. Why on Earth did I wait so long to get this one done?

I sure hope you all are enjoying reading about these puzzles, because they are still loads of fun for me to assemble and I don’t see myself stopping my subscription anytime soon. Every month I receive two more puzzles – they aren’t always images that I might pick out myself, but usually they’re fun to assemble and I’m always proud of myself whenever we get one done.

This particular puzzle did make me a little bit sad though, once it was finished. There were no more pieces left to add and I was sorry it was over. 😢

Bake Someone Happy

Bake Someone Happy – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

This was much more difficult than I thought it would be, and I didn’t even attempt to put the edges together at the beginning – this one was worked from the inside out. You go where the puzzle leads sometimes and that where I was being lead.

This is the companion puzzle to Secret Ingredient: Love and the subscription box came with a set of four jigsaw puzzle piece shaped cookie cutters. Both puzzles were baking themed and each had a recipe on the back…

Both recipes call for using your cookie cutters – and I can’t wait to use them. (I pretty much love everything with puzzle shapes.) And if that apron were available with all those puzzle pieces on it, I’d definitely get one of those too.

My recipe for sugar cookies is a bit different and hubby loves it so I’ll probably use that recipe, but I’ll definitely be trying out the new cookie cutters with it. All we have to do now is wait for a day when I’m feeling good enough to bake – here’s hoping! 🍪

Made With Love

Made With Love – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

I started this little beauty before we left on our vacation, and our daughter finished it up while we were gone – a joint effort! I love all the crafts and sewing supplies in this image, it definitely reminds me of my mom. She made everything with love. 💖

My mother was amazing in the craft department; she sewed, knitted, crocheted, cross-stitched, did beadwork, hook rugs, and just about any other craft you can think of. My father had a lot to deal with when she got really involved with a certain craft – the hoarding of supplies started right away! Luckily for him it was a while before the internet made all her supplies readily available, otherwise we might have had to dig them both out of the house with a shovel.

This image absolutely had me going down memory lane, it’s a beautiful little puzzle. 💟

Color Garden

Color Garden – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

This puzzle has an awesome image with blocks of color that I very much enjoyed assembling. This is the companion puzzle to Abstract Love that I posted about previously – there is a line drawing on the back of this one as well for you to color in with the paints provided in the subscription box for that month.

Again, for me, choosing which colors to put where and making certain that I didn’t mess anything up would have been stressful for me – so I chose to only assemble the puzzle.

If you were unsure about whether or not you placed a piece correctly on the front you could also use the line drawing on the back to make sure you had it right; which is handy when assembling the puzzle in a place with less than optimal lighting. 🛀

With my daughter really getting into these mini puzzles and working on them whenever she’s here they’ve been going rather quickly; at this rate I’ll be running out of them before too long – even with my subscription. That’s alright, we can always get more. I love that she wants to help me with them. 💛
