Puzzle Pride

Puzzle Pride – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

Even though this image was quite difficult I loved this one. As an added bonus part of the proceeds from the sale of this puzzle go to The Trevor Project, which makes me extremely happy; love it when I can buy a puzzle and help people at the same time!

The quality is typical for a MicroPuzzles puzzle, and I love being able to subscribe and get new fun images each month. This is one that I bought from their website (puzzle shopping addict? anyone?) and I’m constantly looking for new and interesting images to put together whether the puzzles be large or small.

This image, luckily, was double sided. When I wasn’t sure about whether or not a piece was placed correctly I could just turn it over to verify. Several times I was wrong, because although you might think a rainbow colored puzzle would be simple to assemble – it wasn’t. But therein lies the fun!

I always appreciate a double sided puzzle, especially when the image on the front is a bit challenging, like this one was. Can’t say enough good things about this puzzle.

Love is loved it! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

The Name Of The Game Is Go

The Name Of The Game Is Go – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

Another puzzle my youngest picked out for me to do – I wasn’t in the mood for this one when he showed it to me, but my momma mode kicked in and I agreed to anyway. Once again he was right, it was lots of fun!

Once I got started on it I found it hard to walk away from and this went together in just over a 24 hour period. At one point it was 2 in the morning, and I found myself sitting in the bathroom just because I wanted to work on the puzzle. 🛁🧩

This was the companion puzzle to Postcard From Paris that was posted at the beginning of November; and it was much more entertaining for me with it’s brighter colors and easier collage-type image. So much more enjoyable than I’d thought it would be.

I love it when that happens! 💚

We Wish You The Merriest

We Wish You The Merriest – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

We* at My Jigsaw Journal wish the very Merriest Christmas to all who celebrate it, and a very Happy Monday to those who don’t. To all those who have to work today, though we may not always act like it we are unbelievably grateful for you. To all those who are feeling alone during this time of the year, you are not. To all those who aren’t here to celebrate with us, you are very much remembered and missed.

I hope you’re all having a wonderful day and I’m wishing you all the merriest and most blessed of holiday seasons. ❄

*(we is me, and the snotty menopausal lady who argues with me in my head, she’s a bit of a crank sometimes but you just have to get to know her)*

Nordic Tree

Nordic Tree – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

How cute and colorful is this image? I love it! All the different patterns at the side, the circle around the tree, and the interesting shapes on the tree itself made for slightly difficult but very entertaining puzzling.

In a larger piece count I would be all over this image, all the colors and shapes are absolutely my pile of pieces! With only 150 pieces and it being a micro puzzle, it was more challenging than expected. Your brain tells you you’re looking for a certain color or shape, but it changes so quickly into the next shape or color that your eye goes right past the correct piece and lands on what you think you should be looking for. Normally I puzzle without looking at the image on the box (or tube), and that made for a longer assembly than would usually be normal for a puzzle of this size.

I do enjoy the challenge of a more difficult puzzle, if everything is too simple it can easily become a boring assembly. There was no chance of that happening with this image though, it kept me on my toes!

Happy Holidays!

Sweata Weatha

Sweata Weatha – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

Now this is my kind of Christmas puzzle! There is no perfectly decorated tree with snow falling softly outside, no Coca-Cola Santa, no roaring fire – just silly sweaters in a colorful image. It was so much fun!

If memory serves me correctly this was in my MicroPuzzles subscription box from the holiday season in 2021, it was an extra puzzle sent “compliments of Brian in shipping“. You remember Brian, don’t you? If not, check out Brian’s Worst Nightmare that I assembled a couple of years ago.

Unlike all the rest of the puzzles you get in your subscription box each month, this image is actually available on the MicroPuzzles website. Each subscription puzzle is an exclusive you can only get in your monthly box, but this one was a gift from Brian, so if you like it you can get your hands on this one.

Loved it!
