Sweata Weatha

Sweata Weatha – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

Now this is my kind of Christmas puzzle! There is no perfectly decorated tree with snow falling softly outside, no Coca-Cola Santa, no roaring fire – just silly sweaters in a colorful image. It was so much fun!

If memory serves me correctly this was in my MicroPuzzles subscription box from the holiday season in 2021, it was an extra puzzle sent “compliments of Brian in shipping“. You remember Brian, don’t you? If not, check out Brian’s Worst Nightmare that I assembled a couple of years ago.

Unlike all the rest of the puzzles you get in your subscription box each month, this image is actually available on the MicroPuzzles website. Each subscription puzzle is an exclusive you can only get in your monthly box, but this one was a gift from Brian, so if you like it you can get your hands on this one.

Loved it!

Orca Sunrise

Orca Sunrise – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

My daughter fell in love with this image when she saw it, but she never actually wanted to help with the assembly for some reason. I know she tried a couple of times, but was frustrated with the difficulty. Still, it’s beautiful artwork and was quite entertaining to assemble.

You can see in the above picture that the fit was very good, as was the all around quality – as is usual for MicroPuzzles. There’s something about working with these little puzzles that is so satisfying for me, though I still struggle to explain why that is. I don’t really need to spell it out though, as long as they remain fun to assemble that’s all I really need. 😊

Postcard From Paris

Postcard From Paris – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

It’s a lovely apartment with a wonderful view of the Eiffel Tower, but it did not make for easy puzzling at all. It’s VERY brown. This one was a bit of a letdown for me as I really didn’t care for the image at all. Still, it feels like an accomplishment that I finally completed it.

I’ve got to be more selective about the MicroPuzzles that I assemble in the powder room and which ones need to stay here in the puzzle room. This one never should have left the bright lights that sit above my puzzle board, there was just not enough color. Or perhaps I should say there was not enough bright color and too many browns and muted colors. From now on if it doesn’t look colorful enough it’s staying right here!

The theme of this month’s subscription box was travel/international destinations. There were two travel themed puzzles and an aluminum luggage tag. One of the puzzles is double-sided…and thank goodness it was this one!

On the back is the image of a blank postcard. Normally it wouldn’t help much with the assembly since most of it is blank, but this puzzle came already assembled so that you could write your own message on the back before you took it apart – that way whatever you write would be helpful when putting it back together. Wanna see what I wrote?

I thought I’d send you all a virtual postcard. Happy puzzling to the entire Puzzle Posse! 🧩💚

Robot Repair

Robot Repair – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

Isn’t this the cutest little image? I thought it was anyway. It turns out that the cuteness doesn’t translate to ease of assembly – this was much harder than I thought it would be!

Does it sound dumb to you that after the hundreds and hundreds of puzzles I’ve done that I still can’t always tell whether a puzzle will be easy, difficult, entertaining, or a dud? It sounds dumb to me; yet I can’t always tell and can’t give you a reason either. You just do the best you can and pick puzzles that you like the look of, I suppose. Anyway, back to our puzzle…

This puzzle came in my MicroPuzzles subscription box, and the theme of that month was Mad Science. It was the companion puzzle to Tube-Tastic that I posted about in August. I love the image, but the size of the pieces and the number of pieces that constituted each little robot made it more challenging than I thought it would be. I ended up having to bring this one into the puzzle room in order to complete it under better lighting.

Even with the challenge I enjoyed this puzzle very much, and it’s too darn cute! 😍

Easel-y Distracted

Easel-y Distracted – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

I love how colorful this image was, and although I thought it would be very challenging it went together much more easel-y than expected. 😁

All of these bathroom puzzles are either getting easier, or I’m getting better at them. They’re going together much more quickly than they used to, or at least that’s how it seems. Still, I’m enjoying them very much and that’s what really counts.

The MicroPuzzles subscription that I receive every month is keeping me stocked with these little postcard sized puzzles that make me extremely happy. Whatever the cost, I’m totally worth it!
