Pets Selfie

Pet Selfie
Pets Selfie by Howard Robinson – Wentworth – 40 pieces

For Valentine’s Day this year I decided to assemble this micro puzzle, because what better example of pure, unconditional love and friendship than our furry friends and family? They’re amazing, and always ready to give lots of love❣

You would think a puzzle hoarder like myself would have plenty of “love” puzzles to choose from, but I don’t (at the moment). There are many puzzles here that I love and am looking forward to assembling, but not ones that are love-related. But when I picked up this puzzle and saw the goofy faces of the pets I thought that this would be the perfect image for today. I think I was right; it’s so adorable and I love their sweet faces.

How cute are these whimsies? I was a little confused by the one in the middle though, perhaps it’s a dog house? Or do I have it upside down? Suggestions anyone?

Hubby and I don’t really do Valentine’s Day, we haven’t for most of our marriage. I expect him to treat me as if he loves me every single day of the year, and he expects the same from me. We don’t need a special day for it, in our house that stuff happens all the time. 💖

I do usually celebrate February 15th though – half price candy day!! 😉

Spitfires

Wasn’t planning on doing this one, but somehow got a piece from this puzzle in the box for Off to the Market. When I finished that puzzle I had to find out where the stray piece came from, and had to assemble Spitfires to be certain. I’ve gotten amnesia as to how I managed to get the pieces mixed up, but I’m used to dealing with my extremely “interesting” brain.

I’m also not really certain how the whimsies fit into the theme for this puzzle, but they look lovely for a trip to the beach, don’t they?

I’d better get a move on and put together some more micro puzzles from Wentworth, I’m almost completely out of puzzles left in the queue! It’s a good thing I have plenty of them left to assemble. Sometimes having P.A.D.S. and the puzzle hoarding that goes along with it has it’s benefits. 😉

Off to the Market!

First completed wooden puzzle of the year. So cute! It has lovely bright colors, and excellent quality. I love this image too, so many adorable puppies!

Please forgive the shortness of today’s post, I’ve come down with quite a cold/virus and am feeling terrible. I miss being able to breathe through my sinuses! 🤕

The Stocking Filler

Another lovely, quick micro puzzle from Wentworth, so much fun to assemble and supremely entertaining.

There’s a LOT of red in this image – you’d think I’d love Christmas puzzle images partly because red is my favorite color – but, not really, nope. As with many other things related to my oddly functioning brain, I have absolutely no explanation for it. All I can do is to embrace the weirdness that is me.😎

It’s only 40 pieces but each piece is wonderful to hold in your hand, satisfying to run your fingers over, and has a beautiful sound when it settles into place. Wooden puzzles are a joy!

Christmas Cats

Christmas Cats
Christmas Cats by Richard Macneil – Wentworth – 40 pieces

This is my least favorite of the Christmas micro puzzles we bought this year, it seems very bland and colorless other than the blue of the sky and the one orange cat. Still it’s a pretty scene, and it was fun to assemble; and even my least favorite wooden puzzle is still a favorite. 😉

Growing up in the northern United States, this sort of scene is what I think Christmas is supposed to look like – wintry and snow covered. Having lived in Florida for the past 15 years, I’m still finding it difficult to get into the holiday spirit when it’s 85 degrees outside and the air conditioning keeps turning on. Perhaps that’s part of the reason for my lack of Christmas cheer – or it could be I’m just turning into a cranky old lady – or both!

Only four more days until Christmas – and then no more Christmas puzzles until July. (Unless of course I get one for a present, then I may feel obligated to assemble it right away 🎁)
