Sweets In Progress

In Progress 3

I finally got going on Lip Smackin’ Sweets by Lafayette Puzzle Factory, and I’m a little disappointed with the thickness of the pieces and the way they fit together. I’m not certain I’ve ever done a 1000 piece puzzle by Lafayette; so the loose fit and thinner pieces were a bit of a surprise.

Ah well, it’s still an interesting picture and I’ve certainly worked with much worse in terms of pieces and fit before, so I’m sure I can get through it just fine.

So far the Pixy Stix were the hardest little sections to put together  – which was such a bummer because I ADORE them! They’ve been my favorite non-chocolate candy since I was little. Yes, I know, it’s like eating pure sugar, but whatever. You love what you love, right? I make no excuses. 😁

Review Update…

In my reviews of the above Cloudberries puzzles, I mentioned that I thought they should put the dimensions of the finished puzzle on the box so we puzzlers can be sure it will fit our workspaces.

Yesterday I was informed that they, in fact, do put the dimensions on the box. Oops! I looked all over the boxes to try and find the puzzle size, and somehow I completely missed it every time. My sincere apologies!

I can only blame lack of sleep and pain meds for my poor observational skills (or perhaps my advancing age and worsening eyesight). As you can see above, the first line of the small print shows the finished size of the puzzle.

I’ve edited both reviews, and wanted to be certain to update my readers as well. I’ll do my best to be more observant from now on. 🙂

Puzzle Shopping!

Puzzle Shopping

My daughter and I went puzzle shopping together this past weekend; one store, LOTS of puzzles. 😎

I’ve already put together three of them; one of the small ones (100 pieces), a 550 piece, and a 1000 piece. I barely puzzled at all yesterday, but I’m hoping to be able to get back to it today.

Normally I would feel a little guilty about buying so many new puzzles at one time, but I’ve decided that’s a waste of time. There’s nothing to feel bad about, I’m absolutely worth it. My fellow PADS sufferers understand. Life is for living, and puzzling.

No excuses, no explanations, no apologies!

Today’s Work in Progress

In Progress 2

This puzzle is going very slowly, though I’m not sure why. I didn’t touch it at all yesterday, but that was just because I wasn’t feeling well. But when I’m actually working on it, it seems to be slogging along at a snail’s pace.

When we first got this puzzle, mom and I both said it looked like a fun image to put together. I still think that, but for some reason I can’t explain it’s going much less quickly than I assumed it would.

I’m still enjoying it though, and I’m hoping to make some good progress today.

Are you working on anything fun? How’s it going?
