Santa’s Here!* – Aldi – 80 pieces

Can you believe it? A jigsaw puzzle Advent calendar with twelve complete puzzles – it’s a Christmas miracle!

I’ve been quite pleased with the quality of these puzzles from the grocery store, weird as that sounds. The pieces are a good thickness, have a good cut with no hanging chads or excess puzzle dust, fit together well, and the image reproduction is very good. The finish is a bit shiny and there is only one piece shape, but at only 80 pieces each they weren’t difficult to work with.

I’m actually hoping that they were good sellers for Aldi and that they come out with another set next year, they were much more entertaining than I’d assumed they would be. I enjoyed all twelve puzzles, and am a little disappointed that it’s over. (I can’t believe I said that either 😮)

    Merry Christmas Eve, Stacey! Your mention of “hanging chads” brought back, um, interesting memories. That was a long time ago already, although it doesn’t feel like it… at least not to me.
