Robot Repair

Robot Repair – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

Isn’t this the cutest little image? I thought it was anyway. It turns out that the cuteness doesn’t translate to ease of assembly – this was much harder than I thought it would be!

Does it sound dumb to you that after the hundreds and hundreds of puzzles I’ve done that I still can’t always tell whether a puzzle will be easy, difficult, entertaining, or a dud? It sounds dumb to me; yet I can’t always tell and can’t give you a reason either. You just do the best you can and pick puzzles that you like the look of, I suppose. Anyway, back to our puzzle…

This puzzle came in my MicroPuzzles subscription box, and the theme of that month was Mad Science. It was the companion puzzle to Tube-Tastic that I posted about in August. I love the image, but the size of the pieces and the number of pieces that constituted each little robot made it more challenging than I thought it would be. I ended up having to bring this one into the puzzle room in order to complete it under better lighting.

Even with the challenge I enjoyed this puzzle very much, and it’s too darn cute! 😍

Choose Joy

Choose Joy – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

Is this not an adorable image? It’s just too cute! The middle bit went together pretty quickly and easily, but the blue background and the edges themselves were much more difficult than anticipated. Still, challenging puzzles can be highly entertaining – and this one was.

This image is part of the Puzzle Pandas Kindness Collection from MicroPuzzles; you are encouraged to pay it forward and share this puzzle with someone else when you have completed it. Puzzle Pandas was started during the pandemic as a way to show kindness by sharing puzzles in your community. It’s a way to upcycle your puzzles and give someone an unexpected pick me up in the form of a free puzzle. You can check out the Puzzle Pandas website by clicking the link.

Rather than leaving this little test tube somewhere in my community, I’ve decided to give it away here on the blog, where I know whomever receives it will (hopefully) enjoy it. I know these small puzzles aren’t for everyone, but I hope there’s someone among my readership who will enjoy assembling this adorable little puzzle and perhaps pass it along in their community once they’ve completed it to keep the joy going.

So, if this looks like something you might want to assemble, you can enter the drawing by leaving a comment on this post. Each comment will be numbered and the random number generator will pick the winner on October 11, 2023. It doesn’t matter where in the world you live, you can enter the drawing.

Good luck! Happy puzzling my friends!

Easel-y Distracted

Easel-y Distracted – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

I love how colorful this image was, and although I thought it would be very challenging it went together much more easel-y than expected. 😁

All of these bathroom puzzles are either getting easier, or I’m getting better at them. They’re going together much more quickly than they used to, or at least that’s how it seems. Still, I’m enjoying them very much and that’s what really counts.

The MicroPuzzles subscription that I receive every month is keeping me stocked with these little postcard sized puzzles that make me extremely happy. Whatever the cost, I’m totally worth it!

All the Books

All the Books by Jenny Zemanek – Wentworth – 140 pieces

Wonderful little puzzle. This was maybe a two coffee puzzle, it took a little bit longer and was more difficult than expected. I loved the colors and all the interesting patterns on the spines of the books, such a great image.

We couldn’t figure out one of the whimsies, perhaps one or more of you can help us out. The piece in the bottom righthand corner, what in the world is that? A book of some sort? Whatever it is, I don’t seem to be able to recognize it.

Pop the Champagne

Pop the Champagne by Aimee Stewart – Wentworth – 80 pieces

This challenging and beautiful little puzzle was SO much fun to put together! It was the last one in a day where we put together two mini wooden puzzles, one larger and more difficult wooden puzzle, and a 500 piece cardboard one. Luckily, we had just as much fun with this last one as we did the first.

I’ve done a few shaped Aimee Stewart images, and they’re always a bit challenging but lots of fun – this one was no different. The swirling shapes of the pieces and the gorgeous colors made for a great assembly.

There was only one whimsy piece with this mini puzzle, a bunch of grapes right near the center of the bottle…

We had such a great time with this that it ended up staying with my sister-in-law, she kept saying how much fun it was and I just couldn’t resist leaving it for her just like the Tea Bath puzzle we put together at their cabin on our first trip. I know it will be well loved and put together many more times. 💕

Hubby and his sister worked on it by themselves for a few minutes, and I got in there closer to the end and sis and I put in the last few pieces together. Love, love, loved it!
