Heart Nosed Ned by Dylan R. – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

I haven’t decided which puzzle is going on my board next, so until that happens I figured you’d like to see this sweet puppy puzzle that I’m working on in one of my trays.

It doesn’t look like much, but that border wasn’t the easiest to assemble and a rest was needed after sitting up in bed for that long. It’s progress though, and that’s what matters. 😊

Brian in Shipping – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

This adorable puzzle sat in the bathroom for a while, but in the end it was one of those puzzles that had to be brought into the puzzle room so that it could be worked on under good lighting. The darker or more difficult images really need to be assembled with a proper light source, otherwise they become frustrating.

Feeling as though a puzzle is tedious, too difficult, or frustrating is bad for my puzzle mojo – I avoid it if at all possible. All this baby needed was proper lighting and it was finished in no time!

The image online seems so much lighter than the actual puzzle, especially the blue background. The darker blue does make for a better contrast with the picture frames though.

This is two-time MicroPuzzles employee of the month – Brian – he allegedly works in shipping. 😉 He looks like a model employee to me, but I hear that he sometimes gives out discount codes without authorization. My goodness!

Love – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

Happy Mother’s Day to all moms and dads out there! I knew when I received this in my monthly MicroPuzzles subscription box that it was definitely the best puzzle I had on hand here at the house for Mother’s Day this year; and so I got right down to it in order to be ready for the “holiday”.

I knew the border would have to go last on this one. The letters were not easy, but they were much easier than all the white hearts, dots, and swoops – and definitely easier than that border! Still, it’s a beautiful puzzle, isn’t it?

My only request every Mother’s Day is always that I don’t have to take care of anyone or make any decisions. I don’t need gifts or breakfast in bed, those things just aren’t me.

My kids have all been adults now for well over a decade, and both my injury and my anxiety make it so that having them take me out to a restaurant for a meal isn’t pleasant for me. I’d much prefer to stay home, have my kids tell me they love me, and make sure that I don’t have to cook dinner. (I’m a cheap date!)

I hope your day is wonderful, and that all of my PADS Posse friends out there get to spend today doing something you love, or spending time with those you love. I appreciate all of you that hang out with me here every day – it’s truly a blessing to have so many puzzle pals. ❤

The OG

The OG – MicroPuzzles – 150 pieces

Beautiful puzzle of the original Spilsbury “dissected map” from 1767 owned by MicroPuzzles. It was way too difficult to assemble in the usual place, there just isn’t adequate lighting in our powder room. After having it in there for a couple of weeks and struggling to get it assembled, I finally gave in and finished it in the puzzle room.

When you see the image on it’s own without all the piece shapes it looks as if it would probably be pretty easy to assemble – especially because there are only 150 pieces. It wasn’t. At least not for me. It’s almost monochromatic and without proper lighting to see what was what I found it quite difficult.

I still enjoyed it though, it wasn’t one of those difficult puzzles that makes you question whether or not it’s worth doing. And when I got nearer the end, it got more and more fun with each piece. 😉

Parisian Charm

Parisian Charm by David Maclean – Wentworth – 40 pieces

I took the picture at the wrong angle on a truly bad day, I’m sorry for the shine. By the time I checked the image it was already taken apart and put away and I just wasn’t feeling up to putting it together again even though it was only 40 pieces.

This is what it’s supposed to look like….

Normally this isn’t really my kind of image, but at only 40 pieces pretty much any artwork is worth a shot in my book. It’s pretty, don’t get me wrong, it just doesn’t really excite. Just my personal opinion; we can’t all like the same things.

Very Parisian whimsies too!
