Please forgive the angle of this picture, I tried to go back and fix it but the stupid photo program wouldn’t let me change anything after I’d renamed it. Stupid technology. 🤐
This was much more challenging than the previous four letter puzzle that I assembled. The shading at the back made for odd shapes, and my brain took quite a long time to wrap itself around the concept. But I loved that about it; when you know the solution is right in front of you and all you have to do is SEE it. You just have to let your brain catch up and figure it out. And then, when you finally do get it, the exhilaration is fantastic! (My PADS posse understands, don’t you?)
A friend says I should have left the other puzzle assembled and then taken a picture of “S**t Yeah!”. Why didn’t I think of that? I was moving the letters around to spell other words, and was thinking that I’m only one letter short of being able to spell my name; if I had gotten the other naughty word or even the word Crap I’d have the C so I could spell out my name in pretty letters. Ah well, I missed my chance.
This puzzle was very good quality, just like the first one. I’m quite impressed with them, especially because the company doesn’t only do puzzles. In fact, these four letter words are the only puzzles they carry. To get such good quality is a surprise, a very pleasant one. Check them out at Knock Knock.
I’ve enjoyed assembling these words/letters, and I think any of the others would be very entertaining. If you’re looking for a silly, challenging, enjoyable puzzle, I would absolutely recommend these four letter words.

Hi Stacey, I really enjoyed today’s post. It kinda has me wondering what the average time puzzlers leave their puzzles up before tear down. For me if I really like the image it can be for up to a month.

Good morning Amy, thanks for the kind words. I don’t know what the average time is for most puzzlers, but I can tell you that I take my puzzles apart VERY quickly. Within minutes.
I take pictures for myself and for the blog, make sure the pictures I have are good, and then back into their boxes they go. Last month I did more than 30 puzzles, so I just don’t have the room to leave them assembled for very long. And there are so many puzzles to do! 🙂
But I love that all of us are different, puzzle for different reasons, and have our own ways to assemble, etc. Do you have more than one place to assemble your puzzles, or is the month your puzzle is sitting assembled one where you don’t do any other puzzles at all?
What an interesting question! I’d be pleased to hear how long my readers leave their puzzles assembled before taking them apart.

I have space. I always have a puzzle going. I transfer onto foam sheets, and then view as needed, 😆. I definitely puzzle because of the image.

I puzzle because of the image too, almost all of the time. But to be honest I never even thought of transferring them to foam sheets or anywhere else!
I do have several puzzles that I’ve never taken apart, they’re on cardboard. I love the images so much that I couldn’t disassemble them. Some have been glued, some haven’t. But to me they mean something, and I love to look at them.

Thank you very much. I know when I got back into a lot of puzzling there just weren’t any blogs out there that posted many puzzles or puzzle talk. I love reading and talking about puzzles as much as I love assembling them! 🙂

I also take puzzles apart quickly, sometimes I leave it for a day or two, but often it’s more like minutes. I take photos too, but not nearly as well as you, mine are often wonky and have lots of glare. It’s hard work getting good photos and I’m too lazy, but you’re obviously not. In fact, it’s happened that I’ve taken the puzzle apart and then realized I forgot to take a photo.
I’ve never not taken a puzzle apart. The more I like a puzzle, the more I want it to remain a puzzle, and if you glue it, it’s no longer a puzzle, in a way. Not saying I’m never going to glue a puzzle, but it’s nor happened yet 🙂

There are 2 or 3 puzzles I bought specifically to glue and hang as artwork. The puzzles I love most have not been glued, but I haven’t taken them apart either. I’m a weird one!
Most puzzles are taken apart quickly, within minutes, like you. My pictures aren’t perfect, but I can lean my puzzle board against the wall to angle the puzzle so that there’s no glare. It isn’t that difficult, because I’m pretty lazy too! 😉

I prefer to puzzle directly on my table, so getting really good photos of anything more than 500 pieces involves a ladder. I seldom bother with that…

That makes sense to me, I don’t think I’d bother with that either!
I have 2 large puzzle boards that we made specifically for the big Disney puzzle, they’re covered in fabric so the puzzles don’t slip around, and it’s easy to slide it up against the wall to get a picture when I’m done assembling.

I too take mine apart pretty quickly — less than 24 hours for sure unless I plan to glue it for display on a wall.
I am usually anxious to start the bext puzzle the moment the current one is done. 😁😁
